Larger sizes not as accurate

I am a guy size 13 US "street shoe" size, looking for decent shoes to use for Zumba! I guess I'm not in the target market for most dance shoes, it has been hard to find anything that goes up to my size. The size listed in the dropdown is not accurate, even though it shows "13 M US Mens" in the dropdown, on the label it lists "11M US Mens". Maybe that is dance shoe size or something on the label, but it was way too cramped and I could feel my big toe hitting the end and it started to hurt after few minutes of wearing. I ended up returning the Sansha size 18 for a Sansha size 19, which lists as US mens size 14 in the dropdown, and when I got it, it lists 11 1/2 for the US mens size on the actual label. That one at least my foot fits in all the way without my big toe touching (though it comes very close, which i guess is expected in dance shoes), the top of the foot still fills very constricting (width wise) for my foot. I plan to have that part of it stretched out a little at a shoe repair store since at least my foot fits in the larger size without the toes touching. I could have probably gone with size 20 (Sansha size) but I think the 19 will work fine after I take it to a shoe shop. Plus I want to use my new shoes for the Zumba class coming up tomorrow! :) UPDATE: I did not need to get it stretched, it works perfectly for my Zumba class as-is! Also upping to 4 stars as now that I've used them for dance they are awesome! Walking around and just trying them on they do feel like they might be too small (the original size I had WAS too small), but they are perfect when dancing. The small size feels like it helps keep your foot from moving around, especially when doing a lot of back and forth moves where you are changing the direction of movement very quickly.

Wore shoe to teach my cardio class,!

I wore the shoe to teach my cardio salsa class and the shoe fit OK, next time I will get one size larger for this brand.

Comfy, but don't hold up

I've been wearing these shoes for social dancing and classes since late January. The good: Suuuuper comfy! Plus there's enough room in them that I was able to add memory foam insoles. The bad: I had to add suede to the bottoms. I expected them to be a bit sticky on temporary dance floors at conventions and so on. Most shoes are, since those floors kind of suck. But even on a dedicated ballroom dance floor, there was no way I was going to be able to turn in these. They might as well have been regular sneakers in that respect. The ugly: I noticed last week that the seam has already split at the top outside of the heel. Seriously?! I can't believe I only got 2 months of wear out of these before they started falling apart. And not even heavy wear! I've worn them less than 10 times! I take good care of my shoes, and I definitely can't afford to be dropping $50 every 2-3 months to have shoes in decent shape. Really disappointed in these.

Too small, try again...

I first tried to buy Sansha shoes size 17 (17 Sansha), because I'm a street 11.5. When those did not fit, I wanted to try the next size, 18's. I ordered these guys in 18's thinking that they would be equivalent to a street size 13. In the end, however, the shoe is still too small and, on the inside of the shoe, it says that 18 Sansha is actually street size 11. It would be really great if the scale would match what the shoes indicate and the actual street size.

Larger than expected

Based on other reviews, I purchased a shoe 2 sizes larger than my regular shoes. They are too wide and a little too long. However, they were less expensive than other jazz sneakers. They do what I wanted them to do. I am taking a folk dance class and I needed to feel the floor when I danced. My sneakers were not good for dancing. These Sansha's are good.

size, size,size is what is important here

i ordered 3 pairs of Sansha sneakers. I am an 8.5 to a 9.There advise was to order a size 11. The sneaker fit perfect. I received it 3 days from the time i placed the oredr. They are very comfortable and not as bulky as are most of the split sole sneakers. my only complaint is the shoe don't seem to spin on the wood dance floor that well. they are sticking a little. i am hopping the sole will get a little slicker. other than that i am very happy.

Great for Zumba

These shoes were great for Zumba. I can do the all the salsa and merengue moves with more ease. No more knee pain like I experienced with regular sneakers. The shoes are not designed like normal sneakers so they feel a little awkward at first. I read some of the other reviews stating that the shoes ran small but that was not the case for me. I went by the US size and purchased my normal size and they fit perfectly even with thicker socks.
