WOW this is loud! - Great gag gift.
If you are looking for a highly obnoxious squeaky toy this is the one for you. LOUD - Check! It was too loud for my Belgian Malinois. She wanted nothing to do with this chicken. For perspective, she loved her "Kong air squeaker stick" (and that was so loud my husband insisted on hitting that with a hammer until the squeaker lost some of its squeak). RUGGEDNESS - the rubber is a decent thickness. However, it is not as rugged as a Kong toy. I can see a Lab with a soft mouth really appreciating the nice squeeze feel of the chicken. A dog that has a soft mouth and likes to mouth play would enjoy and not destroy this. However, I can see my grandmother's Westie tearing this to a million pieces. If you have a dog that digs the squeaker out of every toy they get, this is not the toy for you. SUPERVISION - Definitely required until you figure out what your dog is going to do with this. GREAT OFFICE GAG GIFT. - This chicken is a riot. While this was rejected by my dog, the chicken was a hit with my office mates. (We are getting a little stir crazy).

Maybe put it outside first
The only issue I had with this toy is that when it arrives it has a STRONG plastic odor. My dog wouldn't go near it at first. It's been over a month now and the toy has degassed and picked up the smell of the rest of the house. Now my little 1-year-old pug mix plays tug-o-war with the border collie over it. The squeaker is loud, but that's half the fun, isn't it? EDIT: It's February and I bought this back in October. Literally EVERY OTHER TOY except for one has been destroyed by now, but this one has held out. Considering how much my two dogs love to chew, and how often I pick or vacuum up the evidence of their destruction, this toy is still holding on and still squeaky. I will be buying again.

Puppy loves her rubber chicken
Got this for my chihuahua. She didn't care for it as a puppy but loves it now she's gotten a little bigger, like 4 lbs. Small enough for her to hold on to with her teeth, give it a good shake, squeak it & run through the house with it. Very happy puppy with her rubber chicken. Not to mention how cute she looks playing with it. Also, seems to be made well, no holes, rips or tears. I recommend for small dogs. Large dogs would probably have it gone in a few minutes.

My Dog's Favorite Dog
My beagle loves this chicken toy because it doesn't just squeak, it squawks, VERY loudly! He also appreciates the soft latex rubber which allows him to shake it like crazy, causing it to flop around his face. Does it last forever? Of course not, but none of his toys ever do. This toy does last longer than most.

Disappointed.
I bought 2 of these toys. One broke within a week of use. It doesn't squeak anymore. I haven't tried the other. It happens that I also bought 4 smaller dog toys from Amazon at the same time that also broke within a couple of days of use. I used to trust that the things I bought on Amazon were quality items.... But I am changing my mind. I am very disappointed in this toy. It's just shoddy manufacturing. And in my case, I feel the manufacturers are taking a risk that a person like me will buy the badly made stuff and not hold anyone's feet to the fire. I TOTALLY think about whether it is worth my time to send them back or do I just let them take my money and continue to make and sell things that break so quickly. Or do I make Amazon pay (in terms of shipping and restocking) for selling stuff that doesn't last. Anyway, IMHO, the manufacturers of this are counting on consumer silence. If you want to buy something and put it in the landfill, here is your chance.

Fun toy to throw for puppy
Fun toy to throw for puppy. Not very big, but nice size for smaller dog or puppy. The noise is the same as your average squeak toy, not the popular big chicken.

The product was great, I've ordered this item before and the dog loved it, plus it lasted longer than any other toy he had. I did not like that on this particular delivery it cost me an extra $13 to retrieve it from Canada post. Why this time and not the 2 previous orders?

Love the Rubber chicken
I have three dogs - Chihuahua, Boston Terrier, Bernese Mountain dog, all three of them went after the toy with glee. My Boston will throw it in the air, spin with it then tries to walk with it, it is so large that he steps over it but it does not stop him from having fun with it. The chihuahua chewed the squawk out of it in two days, and the claws came next but the rest is still fun for all of my dogs. I recommend this toy for all sizes of dogs, although I purchased the large one.

Dog’s new obsession!
My dog is a 16 pound chiweenie/terrier mix. We got him this in the small size, and it’s perfect for him. He’s had it for a week now and he’s literally obsessed with it! He takes it to bed with him and freaks out whenever we take it away. It’s definitely his favorite toy ever.

Way More Durable Than Expected
The squeaker lasted weeks instead of hours. The only problem was Harley the dog would take the rubber chicken to bed with him and then roll over on it in the night. :)

Smaller Than Anticipated
It’s very loud. Rather small. My dog ate the feet off within the hour. But was fun while it lasted.
