Condensate Trap
So first off ,very well made product ,not flimsy pretty solid. At first thought get by with only sealing the transparent trap with magic lube plumb sealer ,didn't work it dripped, so i sealed with PVC glue , fine no more leaks, anyway if your AHU is in garage , and ours , 4 ton outside unit, is in South U.S. hot all year round the clear tube will need to be wrapped with insulation ,as it will sweat, the condensate water was very cold, the garage is 87 F. temp. kinda defeat the purpose of being visible to see the the liquid, as it needed to be insulated to stop the sweating and dripping on garage floor, But that's on me, didn't consider it. It should make it easier to clean the pvc drain in the future

Adjust easily and handy cleanouts
I saw this when I was looking for traps to replace the clogged trap that was installed correctly but had no access for any type of clean out or maintenance. Consequently I'd been using a 5 gallon bucket to catch the condensation until I got everything I needed to replace it. Not something I would recommend but it worked in a pinch and it gave me a new appreciation for how much moisture the air handler or the condenser or whatever takes out of the air every 24 hours. It's been very humid here the last few days and I'd been emptying the bucket once a day with about three or four gallons of water in it. Anyway, this Rectorseal trap was just what I needed as I had to retrofit it in between the two lines. It's adjustable of course until you permanently glue it in place so it was very easy to fit to both sides that were stationary. Of course I have some plumbing experience but even if you don't if you take your time it's easy to fit and the added plus is you have the many different cleanouts. If you look in the photo you can see that I've added two rubbers slip joints that can also be removed so the entire assembly can come out for future cleaning. I've decided that the best bet is to do maintenance on it once a year and make sure the lines are clear so that condensation can flow out. If you forget about it it will build up and eventually start to form clogs which will make the condensation back up and you'll have quite a mess. This seems to be working quite well so far after a day or two with no leaks and a good water flow out of the house. I definitely recommend this particular trap if you want a way to clean out and maintain your condensation line.

Clear trap a bit murky...
Just got my first one, not installed yet, though it all looks good. Not clear what glue to use yet on the clear piece, I could use PVC or silicone sealer I suppose. The pressure is so low it shouldn't matter. I thought the clear plastic would allow an undistorted view inside the tube, but it is a bit cloudy and distorted. Clear enough to see flecks of dark debris, but not what they might be if too small.

EZ install
Replaced a hard to clean and troublesome condensate pump running through an attic with this trap and a gravity line. Very easy to install, tight fittings, neat clear trap lets you see the condition of the water.

Great design, easy to install
This is a great design. The installers for my furnace used a solid PVC trap that was all glued together and was impossible to clean. It clogged up with dust and gunk and I had to cut it off and replace it after my condensate pan overflowed. This is a very good solution to replace that, as it allow you to easily inspect the drain and clean it out with a brush (not included). I've included a photo of my install. It glues together easily with PVC cement and standard 3/4" PVC fittings. I used purple PVC primer as well, but it was not really necessary since this isn't a pressurized application. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

Connected with no issues. It's less than the cost of dealers. Just make sure you cut and dry assemble to test fit before permanent gluing.
