Amazing lift kit!
I had been looking at putting a lift on my 2016 Ford Expedition EL for quite some time now, but was waiting until I was also ready to replace the struts. I have just over 98K miles on my truck and decided it was time, so I purchased the ReadyLift 3/2 kit to install on my truck. I installed them on top of KYB Strut-Plus coil and strut assemblies on all 4 corners. I have done some limited suspension work in the past, and do consider myself to be mechanically inclined although I'm not a professional by any means. I found this install to be of moderate difficulty, and found the tutorial video on the ReadyLift website as well as the instructions that came with the kit to be helpful. If you plan to install yourself, be sure to have access to 2 jacks and a pair of 3 ton jack stands. I have a 3 ton floor jack and used the spare tire jack as the second one during the install to assist with supporting the lower control arms and helping top push the rear control arms where they connect to the frame back into place after installing the new strut assembly. Aside from normal tools, you will also need a cheater bar to get some of the bolts off as they are heavily torqued. I was able to do this job by myself without the need for an assistant. Stick to the video and it will work out well. I do agree that my upper control arms are now stretched to their max, however since I also installed new springs which will settle a bit over time this will likely improve some. I am considering looking for some longer front upper control arms, however, to reduce the stress on the ball joints. Aside from that, there are no modifications needed and I completed this project in about 8 hours in my garage. Attached are the before/after pictures. Please note that I did initially have a 2" levelling kit on the front that was installed by the prior owner (I removed that when I installed this lift kit), and my wheels are 20x9 with an 18mm offset (XD Grenades). The tires shown on both photos are BFG KO2s, size 305 55R20 (equivalent to about a 34" tire), although I do plan to put 35s on soon and don't expect to have any issues with rubbing given the offset of my aftermarket wheels. All in all, this was exactly the kit I was looking for and I couldn't be happier with the new ride height. It is very noticeable and gives the truck a much tougher look, and even stepping into the truck now it feels much higher than it did before. The truck rides so much better now, mostly due to the new coil/strut assemblies but I do feel that the lift kit has something to do with it as well. I would recommend changing out the struts while you're there unless your struts are almost brand new already, as there is a fair amount of work in getting the old assemblies out to install the lift spacers. I would also recommend considering replacing the front UCAs while you're there, but I haven't looked at other options yet so I don't have a particular UCA to recommend - I recall seeing Moog mentioned in other reviews, so that may be a good option. All in all, I highly recommend this lift kit for the cost and time to install, and wouldn't be afraid of tackling this myself assuming you have the right tools and equipment. Huge improvement over the prior ride height and ride quality.

Read this review and learn from my experience before you buy!!
Wow, what a project this turned out to be! (I'm still not convinced the project is complete, either : / ). READ THIS AND TAKE NOTE, LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE!!! I have a 2013 Ford Expedition EL. As to the ride height, it was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Not too high, not too low. The goal was to simply get a little ground clearance from the "grocery getter" height that stock provided. I actually have to use the step rail to get in now. Once I get new tires next year, I'll go to a size 285/70-18 to fill the wheel wells without rubbing First off, putting a leveling kit on your truck itself is an interesting idea. The thought here is to raise the height of the vehicle without altering the factory ride OR investing in a $1,500 kit plus another $1,000 for labor. Ok, good so far.... The lesson I learned from using a leveling kit is there are post-installation steps that must be taken to ensure you didn't waste your money. First the obvious: an alignment. Second: I needed a concentric bolt installed on the lower control arms of my Expedition because when I dropped the arms down with the leveling kit, the tech was NOT able to bring the wheels into vertical alignment because the available travel was maxed out. The Camber was still tilted out too far. The concentric bolts cost me $110 plus labor to install and took 2 hours. Third, my brake lines are now maxed out on their length for wheel travel. The fronts are "ok", but the rears are stretched tighter than I like, despite having moved them down the frame by drilling new holes. I am most likely going to have them replaced with slightly longer lines. I'm afraid that if I drop into a pothole, and pop out the other side, it'll rip the lines right out of the hubs and presto, no brakes! Fourth, and most concerning, is my front 4WD hubs are making a really bad noise, it sounds like the gears are not meshing correctly. This happens intermittently, but often, usually when I'm braking, coasting, or turning. It's most noticeable at lower speeds, but I've heard it at highway speeds as well. My Ford mechanic has told me that those hubs, called IWE's, are known for being tempermental at best, so to not be too surprised that I was having issues with them, now that I took them out of their "happy place" from the stock strut position. It's either going to go away on its own, or I will eventually not have 4WD until and unless I replace the hubs. If you're looking to make this a Lifted Truck, leveling kits are not for you. Their purpose is to simply get a little extra height for ground clearance and aesthetic appeal. They do NOT replace a true lift kit if you are using this as a cheap method to improve the 4 Wheel Drive capacity for off-roading. I installed this myself, over a couple days. I have some limited auto-mechanic experience, of the "shade tree" variety, and I'm not afraid to take on projects like these, when they're concerning "bolt on" parts. That said, it was definitely challenging, with a few moments where I started to regret the decision to do it myself. Also, you NEED A PARTNER FOR SOME PARTS OF THE INSTALLATION, mostly on the back axle as you wrestle the lower control arms back up into place. You can't work the little jack and hold the arm at the same time.

Almost perfect, poor quality control.
This kit is a cheap way to add ride height to fit large tires. I didnt need it, but used it on my 2008 Expedition to add a couple inches in the front and back to add more wheel well space with larger tires. The vehicle did fit 285/70/R17 without the kit. One extremely frustrating issue with this kit was that they sent the wrong hardware that was not compatible with their own kit...The lift spacers use M10x1.25 studs. Half of the nuts they included with the kit were incompatible and of course this was discovered after getting the front two blocks installed. I had to run to the hardware store during the middle of the job and spend 15 bucks on nuts and washers which was a nuisance. I'm not even sure how an assembly line could screw up something like that so seemingly simple...oh well.
