Great substitute for Life Walker which is no longer available.

For about 20 years or more, I have always worn the women's Life Walker Shoe. When I couldn't find it, I was informed that it was discontinued and no longer available. I needed to find a shoe to replace it. I tried this one, and it is great. I am very pleased with the comfort and fit.

I have these shoes in the past and appreciate that they come in a 4A. I do have to all additional arch support.

Still the same shoe after MANY years !

This style of Propet sneaker is the only kind of sneaker I have bought for probably 15 years. They have always fit my feet, are comfortable and well-constructed, and hold up for a long time. I have worn out about 5 pairs of black ones over the years, and about 3 pairs of white ones, but I also have bought them in several other colors which I wear less often.. It seems like the leather on these newer ones may be a little thinner than on my older ones. - time will tell. However, the adherence to size standards, and the quality of construction of these newest ones, appear to be as excellent as the first pair that I ever bought. Every time I have needed to buy a new pair, I am so relieved that they are still available - and my size is so easy to obtain on Amazon !

Too small in the toe and much too large across the top.

I really need a narrow shoe and hoped these would be the perfect ones. Very cute before putting them on. I wear a Narrow and that is the size I ordered. Kind of tight in the toebox and definitely too loose in the area where you put your foot in, laces could not be tied tight enough to make that part fit better. There is a lot too much bulk and fabric around the ankle and over that part of the foot. This prevented me from tying them any tighter. So they were a little too tight in the toe and definitely much too large and bulky around the ankles.

Comfortable

It's extremely difficult to find shoes for my AAAA feet! I needed new shoes and took a gamble on Propet N; with my orthotics and thick socks, they were narrow enough to stay on without slipping. I wore them brand new on a walk on paved trails and my feet didn't hurt!

Wonderful shoes with a significant design flaw

I've bought hundreds of shoes over the years but never encountered another one like this shoe. Most shoes have the sole under the shoe itself. Not this Propet Walker. The hard sole wraps around bottom of the heel which sits in a depression surrounded by the rigid sole. It may have been necessary to provide this unusual type of support for the back of the foot to allow washable leather instead of the normal support provided by a leather shoe but the extended sole presses into the bone on the outer side of my foot. It might not bother someone who has more flesh on their feet. These wonderful shoes fit perfectly everywhere else. I wish I could have kept them.

bone version tighter than white shoe

I had a pair of these in white that were quite comfortable, so I purchased a second pair in the bone color so I could alternate wearing the two pairs. The bone shoes were much tighter and really stiff and inflexible. They were uncomfortable to wear and never softened up and broke in. I eventually threw them out.

Narrow made

Comfy , well made. Length is a bit on the bigger side but width is on the narrow side... I normally wear size 8W, so i ordered 7.5XW , fit perfectly!

Very Pleased With My Purchase!

Delighted to receive these via Amazon Global from the U.S.A. in just under one week from placing the order. As I take a very narrow fitting I find my only other source for these trainers is at specialist narrow fit mail order companies. The amazing thing is that I can get them through Amazon at half the price I would have to pay in the U.K. - and they have come from America! I am also very pleased with the shoes which are very lightweight but supportive, ideal for summer wear. As I have them already in Black and the Bronze colour I was pretty confident about placing the order and happily, the Blue/white version is very attractive and fit as expected. I know from past experience that they wear well and of course, can be given a proper freshen up in the washing-machine.
