UPDATE 1/12/19 I purchased 2 pairs of Propet Wash and Wear Slip On Shoes in September of 2018. I usually wear a pair out within 6 months because I walk so much, so I wanted to have an extra pair on hand. Imagine my surprise when I put the 2nd pair on last week and found they didn't fit. They were incredibly tight. Realizing that shoes usually need some breaking in, stretching, etc, I wore them for 4 days, trying very hard to get them to break in and stretch - to no avail. By the end of the 4th day, I could barely walk with the shoes on - and when I took them off, I discovered bruising to the top of my foot from the shoe being so tight. Apparently Propet has changed the style of these shoes - the first pair I bought was the standard model W3851 - but the 2nd pair shipped to me at the same time, even though it was supposed to be the same style, was apparently the newer Wash and Wear Slip On II style. I don't know if they have changed manufacturing companies, changed the style of the shoe, or what they've done, but wearing these shoes is now a new experience in pain. Because I bought both pairs about 6 months ago, I can't return this pair. I've emailed the company and am waiting for a reply. These shoes aren't cheap, and I truly wasn't expecting this at all. In my research, it looks like the W3851 model is being phased out - it's getting hard to find the white/white version in my size at all - everywhere I look, they are out of stock. Very disappointing. I'll have to look elsewhere for a shoe that suits my feet as well as these used to. ------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW: I will *never* buy any other brand of shoe as long as I can get these! I've worn the Propet Washable Slip-on sneakers for over 5 years now, and go through a pair about every 6 months, because I wear them so frequently and walk a lot. A recent improvement on the construction of the sole is a welcome change - up until this most recent pair I purchased, the sole of the shoe was constructed in pieces and glued to the bottom of the shoe - which meant that as they started to wear down, the pieces would come un-glued and flap away from the bottom of the shoe. (I can't tell you how many times I've super-glued them back together to make the shoes last just a little longer.) Now, the new sole construction is all one piece - a huge improvement! It even feels more stable and solid under my feet than the previous design. Kudos to Propet for this design improvement! Because these shoes are not cheap, and money can be tight at times, when I find them on sale either here on Amazon or elsewhere, I try to pick up a pair if I have the extra money, or when I need to buy a pair, if I can afford it, I buy 2 pair so I won't be stuck wearing worn out shoes (not good for the posture, back or legs), and will always have a pair handy.
