Easy to install, very powerful installed to run with the Cyberpower 1500 battery backup system

I purchased this pump to use as a backup, but it has more than enough power to be the primary pump for my groundwater basement system. This unit is lighter, so I installed it higher than the primary pump. Honestly I think it works as good or better than my primary pump. Not sure how it would do being submersed under water for long periods of time or if it rusts. I have it up higher in my basin so it probably wont be wet much. I used the cyberpower CP 1500 120 watt system as the battery backup in the event of a power outage or a primary pump failure. I tested it today and it worked great. The battery backup can run up to 8 amps 1/3 horsepower pump and I ran it through about 4-5 cycles and it barely used any juice from the battery to move the water out. I figure I will get at least 3-4 hours of time since the pump only kicks on every so often in a rainstorm. So far the entire system works great. I choose this pump to run off the battery because it only draws about 4 amps, but is very powerful... I have at least an 8-10 foot lift to get it up out of the basement and it moved the water with no issues in a matter of seconds with the hose spraying water into the basin at the same time. I installed a new pipe down into this sump and used the Superior Pump 99555 Universal Check Valve that was only 6.99 and it worked great. I will update over time if there are any issues but I think this system is going to work great. I highly recommend this pump with the cyberpower 1500 so far... as said over time if there are issues I will update, but hopefully it works out good. The test looked great.

I thought I'd put in a review because some of the reviews said it was noisy and didn't last long. I have not had any issues with noise and it is doing it job wonderfully! Great sump pump!

Great pump

Been using for over a year now in combination with a dehumidifier in a root cellar, so it has occasion to run quite a bit...still doing well so far.

Noisy....sounds like a tugboat airhorn

This pump was installed in the corner of our basement. It was under our bedroom and it woke me up at night when it ran. We have a 2200 sq ft ranch and when it runs, it can be heard throughout the entire house. We were supposed to get a lot of rain so I ran out and bought a different pump from a local store. It is cast iron and a lot heavier and you can't hear it run at all. Maybe it is because it is made of plastic and is light weight and it is vibrating in the pit but regardless, the noise is horrible. Sending it back for a refund.

Out of deep water.

I've spent quite a few dollars replacing sump pumps in Home Depot, and Lowe's. I've replaced them some went up and some just couldn't handle the amount of water coming in. I began buying bigger pumps starting from a quarter horse all the way up to a 1.5 horse power pump thinking that this would solve my problem. Not until I brought this pump, it was a smaller horse power but it handles the head height pressure with no problem. An it was almost half the price of the ones I purchased at the big home improvement stores. I love this pump and I will continue to buy them for all my homes. Update 10/28/2020 I will have this pump 5 years in December, and it still runs like a champ. This pumps handles acidic water, alkaline water, muddy water and everything else. Before this Superior pump I was replacing those expensive big box home improvement store pumps every 1 to 2 years. This pump has far exceeded the life of those and even it's own. This year the float switch are rusted and snapped off. I made a new one from a galvanized aluminium, and I plan to keep it another 5 years. And if it doesn't last another 5 years, I'll ordering another one right here. Don't discontinue this one. This pump really is Superior!!!!

Great value, high quality product

I installed an outside sump to alleviate ground water pooling at the base of my footings and seeping into the block foundation. The pump has been working great for 2 months, pumping water about every 15 minutes, great value and quality. I will see how it weathers the winter and update my review if necessary. Highly recommend.

Je la trouve très bien la pompe

La pompe fonctionne super. L'aspiration est tres bonne, mais le niveaux d'élévation d'eau que j'ai chez nous est même pas de 2 pieds alors la puissance d'eau est trop élèvé dans mon cas, j'ai du même inventer un petit compensateur pour reduire le debit d'eau. Elle est un peu brouillante, mais je n'ai pas encore isolé la cuve adéquatement, alors j'espère reduire le bruit en fermant bien la cuve. Je ne peux rien dire sur la durabilité car elle travaille depuis 2 mois seulement.Sinon très satisfait.

Good overall - loose buoy

This unit is for use in my pool drain so I can keep pressure off under it. At first it would never start and I was wondering why until I figure that the buoy is not fixed to the stick that pushes the on off switch. Once I remedied that, the unit worked as advertised.
