Just like those from ten years ago
First of all we shopped coasters a lot and they all had significant flaws (all of which are well described by other reviewers). These are the PERFCT coaster. Ours over 10 years old showed some signs of rust or spotting and we wondered if this style was the same quality. Seems so exactly. The weight, finish, rubber inserts all seem identical to our old favs. So this will be our wedding gift etc. for other since they're the only coasters that actually WORK. And they're still made well.

Look great on the table
I wanted coasters that were easy to clean, heavy enough not to stick to the glass, large enough to comfortably seat most cup sizes, and absorbent so I wouldn't have to deal with condensation pooling off the coaster itself. These coasters fit the bill on everything except absorbency, but their design more than compensates for that last item; they have a rim to catch any condensation that may pool onto the coaster, and the bottom is insulated with black rubbery material that keeps condensation from gathering on the underside of the coaster. In addition to all this, they are sleek and classy and look fantastic on the table. I am very happy with this purchase.

Fabulous Coasters: No more sticking glasses, pools excess drips & looks great.
Absolutely a great item. The write-up isn't specific enough... the entire bottom of this coaster is rubber and the rubber seamlessly pokes thru the stainless to the upper surface to form the lines where the glass sits. So the coasters don't slide on, scratch nor transfer hot or cold to the surface where you place the coaster. The pooled edge catches excess sweating or drips from iced beverages. Good for hot or cold drinks. Has an upscale, modern look rivaling the all-rubber coasters. Paired this with the stainless Wayifon Coasters Stainless Holder (can use with 4 or 5 coasters) and have a super sets. The very best look & function.

A solid coaster if you want to be an adult
I am weirdly obsessed and proud of these coasters, which I’ve had for six months now. I did a ton of research on Amazon for stone coasters, glass coasters, silicon coasters, etc etc. I never knew you could have so many issues with coasters... This set met my expectations and then some. The coasters are weighty and feel durable in your hands. The rubber padding means your drink never slips and feels incredibly secure. I drink my hot tea beside my laptop every day and feel confident about it. I also rest it on my live edge wood table and have never worried about cocktails, wine, water, tea, or anything — absolutely no condensation or markings on the table, as other coasters can make. The rubber is indeed raised just slightly so the coaster can air out and never gets too gunky. You’ll see in my pictures it’s just got slight dust after six months not being cleaned with frequent daily use. I’ve actually had two separate friends compliment my coasters which is weird because who notices somebody’s coasters? But these are a sleek design and certainly seem MUCH more expensive than what you pay and much fancier than you probably are. Would recommend to anybody!

It's a coaster...
So I read a lot of reviews before purchase (a lot not real positive) but I still purchased to see for myself. First, this is a coaster. It is simple (minimal) in design and fits in wonderfully with most design styles. Probably not Rococo, but mid-century to modern is great. Second, it is durable. Stainless steel with a black rubber gasket on the bottom so no scratching of surfaces and it will stay in place. The rubber continues on the top to create channels for the glass to set on creating a second secure surface. The steel has a 1/8" lip to contain the condensation that will fall off the glass to protect your valuable furnishings. Third, it can fit a large Tumbler, so happy about that. Now based on the other reviews I read it will not refill your drink, it will not have to be plugged in or need to be charged with a USB. It does not clean up after itself in any way. IT IS A COASTER. what is more it is a really good one. I have now purchased three times and still want another set for the table on the deck. Happy hunting.

It depends, may be perfect for you
I have had these for about two years now. The good: - Look cool - Easy clean - Mid-grade stainless steel - Rubber seems durable The Bad: - Does NOT prevent drips - Poor manufacturing processes leave many defects in the metal surfaces - Poor manufacturing process leaves many scratches and wear marks on the metal surfaces - Thin, easily bent These coasters work fine. They are attractive and fit with a modern decor. They do not prevent drips as there is no absorbent surface and the rubber stand-offs are wide enough to hold the condensation from dropping to the metal below. While this is a decent grade stainless steel (non-magnetic) the manufacturing process is crude leaving pits and imperfections in the metal. In addition, the coasters were roughly handled during manufacturing as they are all scratched and worn on the highest flat surface. If someone were to casually look at the coaster they may not notice such detail, thus I would recommend them for a modern decor set that would not be under any scrutiny. (especially by machinists :P) Stainless steel is expensive and as such, the metal portions of this coaster are thin. I can bend one with my bare hands without too much effort, but how many coasters are built to withstand such misuse? They aren't going to bend with a heavy drink or being dropped, just don't expect them to be heavy metal (HA! a physicist joke! or would that be a musician?) Most of my 3-star critique comes from the fact they don't stop drips. I thought the rubber strips would allow condensation to run down to the metal and not cling to the glass. They don't. Consumers who do not care about drips may find this product much more satisfying.
