So it was clearly pre loved, which is a bit annoying considering the seller said new. Luckily I didn't have hair in mine like some others noticed. Instead mine smells a bit like an older ladies perfume! Not a huge issue, just sanitize it and good to go. As for the actual epilator - love it! I've used many epilators before, and this one grabs all the hairs in a stroke or two. I've yet to find one that grabs ALL hairs in one go, and I don't think it's possible, but this one comes close. As someone who does their whole body it does heat up quickly. But no big deal just set it down for a bit. Epilating WILL hurt and leave red bumps for the first few uses friends. It's a solid exchange imo and I've never gone back to only shaving. I always start with an exfoliating brush the day I want to epilate and go in body parts. Then go in the with the epilator, play with the angle in some parts and remember to not go to fast! Sometimes I'll apply aloe vera to the area after if it's hurting enough, but once I'm done I'll gently exfoliate in the shower and then shave. It sounds silly and you totally don't need to shave if you're happy with the results, I just like to be baby smooth. Rinse with cold water then absolutely soak myself in a good lotion, nothing scented. I'll keep up with exfoliating until I need to epilate again, normaly every other week at this point. I've done it for years and the hair does slowly just stop growing. :)

This thing is crazy
It looked so small out of the box I was doubting it’s effectiveness but this epilator is awesome. Some personal advice to make it less painful: Treat yourself to a professional waxing before trying it. After a few days, you will get a little growth from the shorter hairs the waxing missed. Start using the epilator every few days for about 2 weeks. After that, you can do it once a week. Much less painful. I also take a shower and take a CBD gummy beforehand and it’s pretty painless. You could take an Advil if you want too but I don’t need it. I use this on my legs, arms and Brazilian and it saves you a lot of money from needing to wax every 5 weeks.

Man, I feel like a (NEW) woman!
My hairy Queens! Buy this now!! I’ve struggled with ingrown hairs more and more as I’ve gotten older. Shaving makes it worse and leaves coarse hair under the skin that you can see. I just used this for the first time and it hurt like crap ???? but it feels like getting a tattoo, honestly. Painful but bearable. I’ve heard it hurts the worst the first time. You can use it everywhere, including the face. Some pro tips that I just learned ????: 1. If you are anywhere near your head (or any hair you want), pull it back. ???? same goes for getting near clothing and jewelry. It will grab it/cut your hair. 2. Trim longer hairs down beforehand. I think they tell you to do this in the instructions. 3. Don’t give up. You may feel like you want to at first bc it hurts but it’s worth it if you’re like me and shaving just isn’t working. I feel like a hairless fairy princess and I love it. It’s what I needed. I absolutely recommend! I’d like to get a smaller one for the smaller parts of my face.

Solid piece of machinery
This thing will clear at least 70% of the hairs in any given area if you do a slow methodical pass and put tension on the skin (if you can take the pain that is, it does start getting better after the 4th time). Rotor did stop automatically when it got caught in my actual hair after I slipped up trying to clear my back. (My fault for not wearing a hair net, but a good live test of the safety feature nonetheless) Well worth it for $40, even though the close grip makes it cumbersome to use on areas like the back and underarm.

Works well but not all areas
Works really well on underarms leaving them so so smooth and yes, the first time was almost excruciating. I really wanted this to work on my legs as shaving really irritates my skin but it was very underwhelming. It cut most of the hairs and just wouldn’t grab them all. I dared not try this on the bikini line after the underarms, not gonna happen…no. Update 3-17-23 So I’m using this on underarms every two weeks. I could’ve done the 3rd session sooner(at 4 weeks) but I wanted to give everything a chance to grow out. I was surprised that about only half the hair grew back this time and they are much thinner. So I gave it another go. It didn’t even hurt this time. I was shocked bc I still had my mind on the first time. I’m going to keep updating this until the hair doesn’t grow back anymore lol. I don’t know why I shaved for such a long time. My underarms are incredibly smooth(I used tend skin before and after epilating). I love this thing!

Corded not rechargable
Works fine My mistake I thought they were all rechargeable now. Seems archaic to be selling corded items which makes it hard to travel with. Not returning will order another brand that is rechargeable. Works fine, just my preference.
