At 1st I wondered if this was just an expensive, yet utter wonderful lip balm that smells lovely…but after using it a few times a day for about two weeks now—& rubbing the excess into the skin around my lips, once I finish moisturizing my face day/night and using a tiny drop or two of Colorscience’s Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy around the mouth—I’m now noticing that my 64 yrs old vertical lines are not as noticeable!! A REAL plus to my thrilled lip comfort! Ordering another one to always keep handy in my purse—love it’s twist-off lid so that it stays put in there :-)

I've been using the Perricone Cold Plasma Plus+ line for a couple of years now, and most of the products are fantastic. That's I was excited for this lip product. After using the whole tube, I still don't know if I like it or not. I guess a good way to think of this lip moisturizer is as a wrinkle treatment product in stick form rather than as a lotion or cream in a tube or jar. It's not a chapstick and doesn't form a waxy barrier on top of lips to block moisture loss. It adds some moisture to the lips, but not enough that using this lip therapy would completely prevent chapped lips. The product absorbs like a lotion because it is a like a lotion. Lips do feel softer and plumper, but without that physical barrier that most chapsticks/lip balms provide to prevent moisture loss. You know how you have to keep reapplying hand lotion/cream after you wash your hands or else they keep drying out? Same deal here. You need to keep reapplying this after eating, talking, drinking, etc., to re-add lost moisture. I know that when my hands get super dry, I will use a protective balm after applying regular lotion to help lock that moisture from the lotion in. This lip moisturizer works best if you do the same with some kind of lip balm applied over the top. Using this lip moisturizer did leave my lips feeling soft. The product doesn't taste or smell bad, and it never felt thick or filmy whenever applied. Applying a lip moisturizer in a solid stick form like this is preferable to applying from a screw-top container, especially for sanitary reasons. The big "but" as to why I'm not sure if I really like this product is because I could just apply a bit of face or hand lotion to my lips and seal that in with a lip balm and not have to buy a separate lip moisturizer product. Granted, using face or hand lotion would have a worse taste than this (which is vanilla), but it would save buying yet another skincare product. This lip moisturizer from Perricone doesn't offer anything extra like sun protection. It's just a stick of moisturizer. So why buy it? Sigh... The answer to that is probably "convenience". This option is small, lightweight, easy to apply, easy to. keep clean, doesn't taste bad, doesn't smell bad, doesn't sting, doesn't irritate. Using a bit of a lotion/cream you already have might taste or smell gross, or sting when applied to chapped lips. Either option still requires a good lip balm to seal in moisture and prevent its loss. This stick of Perricone lip moisturizer with a stick of Lip Smackers? Soft, unchapped lips all winter long. I get why this particular product exists even if the reason does fall squarely into the snarky 'first world problems' category. This lip moisturizer IS a good product and it does work. It just works better when combined with a protective, moisture-loss preventing balm. To me, the product seems incomplete without it.

I absolutely love this product! The Perricone MD Cold Plasma Plus+ Lip Therapy has been a game changer for my lips. Not only does it help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it also helps to keep my lips moisturized throughout the day. The non-greasy formula is perfect for applying before my lipstick and it doesn't leave my lips feeling heavy or sticky. I am very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to keep their lips looking and feeling great. 5 stars!

Super fancy lip balm!! Way better than the dirt cheap lip products
If you spend this much on lip balm, you're going to have some high expectations. I'll say a few things: -Never have I seen chapstick in a container like this. The case is SO cool. It's metal and a twist-off. It looks and feels expensive. It's so nice -I only apply this a couple times a day. Unlike other "chapstick" products that cause you to keep reapplying them, I find that this does it's job. It moisturizes, and then I don't need to moisturize again for a while, even after licking my lips. -Lip lines weren't really a concern of mine, so I wasn't tracking them over time. Unfortunately I can't comment on how well it works there. I'm not going to comment on the price, but I will say, this is a luxury lip balm product, that looks and feels like a luxury lip balm product. I'm really enjoying it.

What are the marks on my upper lip!
My lips are not dry…now they are I used this product only on top lip and there are red marks on my lip into the surrounding skin. I am pretty upset about this!

Not as hydrating as I was expecting...
So first things first... the tube on this lip treatment is a very classy and sophisticated metal tube... it is actually a bit heavy and makes this high quality... which is on par with this brand. As a side note, and user error her... it can be a little slick and difficult to open (it's a twist tube) if your hands are wet or oily (I first tried using this after using my nightly moisturizer and had difficulty opening it...lol.) This has a very pleasant vanilla scent to it. Light enough to detect without being overwhelming. It feels very nice going on the lips, very smooth and leaves a nice layer with a light sheen. I was a bit disappointed in the moisturizing property, tho. I used under my lipstick and it felt fine for a while, but halfway through the day my lips felt more chapped than usual. So I've decided to only use this at night, but my lips still don't feel quite as hydrated as other lip treatments I've used. I know this is mostly intended to try to diminish fine lines and texture on the lips, so far it is helping slightly, but still not sure if it's doing much more than other treatments I've used. While this is convenient in a tube, I'm not sure it's my first choice. Still a decent product, just wish it moisturized a little better.
