For Potter fans

What Potter fan doesn't like The Burrow? This is a nice rendition of it and has lighting. It's all plastic, nicely detailed and the painting is good. The only drawback, for me, is when the light is on it glows through places on the roof and walls. This may have been by design but I would prefer that they apply dark paint on the insides so that the light shines through the windows only. It's a bit expensive at $95.00, don't pay more than that. If you can find it cheaper and your a Potter fan go for it

Pretty disappointed! A Dept56 fail for sure.

My spouse wanted this set for Christmas and tbh the quality is very disappointing. It seems they are painted by hard in a hurry, there are spots where paint bleeds over into surrounding areas (brick bleeding into window trim, curtains bleeding into window trim). I feel that the roofing should be thick enough it doesn’t allow light to pass through which this ENTIRE resin set is like this. I feel for the money they should try to put effort into quality products. Perhaps not being cheap and cast it thick and do like the ceramics, laser cut holes... or be cheap and cast it thin and put a couple layer of paint or use a thicker paint on those areas light should not show through...walls and roofing. I mean these building are almost $100, if not more, and I shouldn’t have to try and figure this out, especially from a reputable company like this. Not to mention the thing is small, pulled it out of the box and my husband, the train enthusiast, was being quietly disappointed. Meanwhile I, the purchaser am like “Seriously? That’s tiny!” He said “oh good it’s not just me. I was gonna be quiet and be thankful but I agree”. And it’s DEF not comparable by size - like aren’t these character supposed to “Live” in these things? The figures are giants compared to these doors, and the outside deck on the Weasley house!?! I can barely fit A pen inside, much less Fred or George’s head...you know the actual residents of the house!!! Come on Dept 56 stop using the theme to make money and make a QUALITY product like the ceramic lines!!! 2 stars because it fun from a distance and during the daytime without lights on and for me trying to figure out how to make it appealing at night time....

plastic and non-removable light

Most other pieces - including Hagrid's Hut and the 3 Broomsticks have a removable light that clips in. This one the light is integrated into the item. It is also plastic - but thicker than Hagrid's Hut so light only comes out the windows. IDK - I feel that if I am paying THIS MUCH for something it should not be plastic. These will likely be my only pieces from this line of village buildings.

An Excellent part of the Harry Potter Village to OWN:-)

Product is as written and more better in person. Definitely Recommend to all Harry Potter Fans:-) Sad Part it arrived with the worst packaging job I've ever seen. Perhaps Amazon needs to talk with their Shippers about packaging:-) Well Done AMAZON!!

Nice HP Collectable

They are a nice addition if your a HP fan and like to collect HP items. They are typical Made in China items so the painting is a bit sloppy. The casting and sculpture work and detail is very nice. Most HP fans would like them. I`m ok with them so I`m keeping mine I`m happy I found them cheaper than full retail I would not pay the inflated full retail price unless the quailty control improves.

Overall I like it

Cute altough the color where slightly different and it looks smaller then expected, overall I'm glad I bought it and it will be a magic addition to my christmas village every year
