Tough as Nails!!
Bought this 5 years ago and it has been on multiple trips with me, both as checked luggage and carry on. It has held up through at least 20 trips. Zippers still work perfectly, fabric has not torn, handle to roll still holding up. I would definitely purchaser again as it was a great deal for the cost.

Skeptical!
Friends recommended this bag to avoid checking baggage for a week long trip. I was skeptical, but it has more space than you’d think. I even had room to spare! It rolls easily even though it doesn’t have the spin wheels. On 3 flights it was easy to fit into the overhead bins. I am very happy with this purchase!

Designed for carry on, rugged enough to be checked
Purchased this bag for a trip to the Ukraine this summer, knowing I'd be traveling by plane, train, and taxi/UBER frequently. I couldn't be happier with it. I was able to fit 6+ days worth of men's summer clothes for a 6'3" 300lb guy using three packing cubes and still had a little spare room for small gifts/souvenirs. I wanted to carry this bag onboard, but while it meets the size limitations for most domestic US and international carriers, my packed bag exceeded Turkish Airlines' maximum weight limit of 8kg (my bag weighed in at 14kg or 30lbs). Knowing I would need to check the bag, I was concerned about the back panel that conceals the shoulder straps. The panel is only held in place by five pieces of velcro, and I worried that the panel would be accidentally pulled away by the baggage handlers and the straps become tangled with something. So I also purchased a luggage strap that I wrapped vertically around the bag, routing the strap through the top and front handles and holding the back panel in place. I'm happy to say the bag came through the trip without a scratch. Maneuvering the bag through airports and train terminals was a breeze - the wheels roll well and the handle extends smoothly and locks into place firmly. I avoided grabbing the bag by the odd "multi-use harness strap" on the front, but the two thick handles on the side and top made tossing the bag around a snap. I actually never used the bag as a backpack during my trip, but I like having that flexibility going forward. I try to avoid checking bags regardless of the length of my trip, and this is my new go-to bag for all future travels.

LOVE this bag. Perfect for short trips.
I got this after I broke both arms and had a trip planned to Greece because it can also be used as a backpack. Wasn't sure I would be able to use the roller function. Well I was too bad off that I had to cancel the trip... but I kept the bag anyway. Used many times now and it's my favorite suitcase. Great bag for airlines that can be used as your "personal item". I use it on Frontier all the time. I just put purse inside and walk on the plane. I don't really know if it technically meets the criteria (Frontier and Spirit seem to change the measurements pretty regularly) but I've never been asked to measure or make sure it fits in the box etc.. I pack very light to Vegas and it's great! Its lightweight. It holds a lot of stuff. I don't use the backpack straps, but they're there if I ever felt the need lol. It may not be the most super-heavy-duty material if you don't pack light and are rough on your luggage you may want something else. But I have had ZERO issues with it. Works great for me! If it ever does break on me, I would definitely order another.

I like all the handles
I took this on a trip to Mongolia. I wanted a carry-on that I could also use as a backpack for when I needed my hands free. This bag did the trick! It had more than enough room for a week's worth of clothes, as well as some room for souvenirs on my return trip. I like all the handles--the top, a side, and the front--which made it easy to carry, even in awkward situations, such as navigating the narrow aisles of MIAT's airplanes. I also like the exterior side straps near the top that allowed me to compress the contents a bit. My only complaints are I wish it had similar straps near the bottom, especially as that's where contents settle, and the "water bottle" pocket is a little on the small side. I couldn't use it for anything. The wheels were great; I had no trouble using it as a conventional suitcase. The backpack straps worked well, although it's not very comfortable as a backpack. However, it's not meant to be used for long-term backpacking; for short-term getting to and from the airport, it's fine. I also really like the fact that this bag would stand upright on its own and not topple over.

Almost exactly what I wanted
I really really like this bag but it has some flaws which keep it from going above three stars. This is the bag I’ve been looking for for years. It’s a backpack, it rolls, it has handles on five sides, it easily fits in overhead bins, and it has few pockets (some bags have too many useless pockets). It’s perfect for packing a carry on for a few days trip. Negatives...it would be great if there was a rain cover. When it’s empty it seems to be on the heavy side. The shoulder straps are not well cushioned. When the bag is full and heavy, the straps in the backpack part start to make my arms go numb. The straps don’t stay in place. Every time I put the backpack on I had to tighten the straps. This is a big one...when worn as a backpack, the hard plastic on the back of the bag bounces off your lower back. Better bags have a cushion for the lower back. This one doesn’t. The first time I wore the backpack I ended up with huge bruises in my back. The side pocket doesn’t fit a water bottle. Or really anything. Not sure its purpose.
