These fit great out of the box, but the derriere will be slouchy by midday

First off, maternity jeans/pants in general are miserable to find in my opinion. I was SO hopeful for these jeans and purchased them based on some of the other reviews here, but my experience has been mixed. What I LOVED: the fit and comfort of the cut and the softness and quality of the denim out of the box are fabulous. The cut is flattering. They are a little looser at the ankle and will not fit like a legging at the ankle, so they probably won't work with booties, but they are still cute with flats, heels, etc... Thought these were going to be the holy grail of maternity jeans, so I ordered the remaining colors. All three colors are beautiful you could easily dress them up or down. All that being said... The DOWNSIDE: I only held onto one pair because while they fit great after they've they'll lose their shape quickly throughout the day. And the constant tug and pull throughout the day to save you from a saggy derriere just isn't a good look. I believe my husband's words (jokingly) were "wow, those things are really trying to take the magic out of it." I purchased these at around 20 weeks, when regular jeans were beginning to become uncomfortable but maternity was still a bit big, I'd only gained about 4-5lbs. Figured maybe I just needed to grow into them and maybe I still will. But I'm now 23 weeks pregnant, and have gained about 8-9lbs and they still sag and require constant readjusting. I've also tried washing to shrink up a little bit but that hasn't been successful either. The shape rebounds, but the stretching out still happens as the day wears on. Lastly, I don't find the band to be supportive of the belly, it's comfortable, but doesn't offer much in the way of lift or support. I ordered my regular, pre-pregnancy size 12 and that was good out of the box. But, hindsight being 20/20, I wonder if some of this would have been alleviated by going a size smaller, but then I might have worried that we would grow out of them perhaps. To the credit of NYDJ this is a high quality jean and probably the best quality that I have seen (feel better spending my money on them than anything from Motherhood Maternity). They are so close to being amazing compared to what I've tried on and they are the best I have found, but unfortunately my search will go on. Will update to see if these wear better as baby and I grow.

BEST. MATERNITY. JEANS. EVER!

Where have these jeans been the last 10 weeks of my Pregnancy?! I’m 22w now and finding comfortable, flattering, and good quality maternity pants has been a nightmare. I’m short with an athletic build (aka hips and booty) and found every single pair of maternity jeans I tried would either fall down or not have enough stretch in the hips to make it up to my waist (finding regular jeans was always challenging as well). ENTER NYDJ MATERNITY JEANS! First - the fabric is so soft and stretchy while still feeling and looking like denim; not some cheap, spandex filled ‘jegging’ that gets uncomfortable by mid day. Second, the cut is wonderful. The pockets are in a flattering place, The rise in the back is cut higher so when you sit down the belly band portion isn’t peaking out (which I’ve hated on other jeans!) and the ankle cut allows me to wear these straight out of the box with no cuff or gemming needed. For a short girl, that rarely happens!!!! These jeans do run big so size down (I started at a 4 which is typical for me but needed a 2 because the hip area just seemed slightly too loose and you want to account for some give in the denim as you wear them). I want these in every color now because this is the best pair of maternity jeans I’ve tried so far and I feel like I’ve tried MOST of the brands out there from low to high end (7FAMK, Citizen of Humanity, Pink Blush, Jessica Simpson, DL1961, ASOS, to name a few). These are worth the price, hands down.

Great quality jeans. Gets looser after you wear for a few minutes

Let me start by saying this is a superior pair jeans, meaning it's super soft and stretchy. Nothing like the cheap ones you find out there. The belly band portion is really nice but fits a bit loose on me, with LOTS of room to grow (I'm currently 25weeks pregnant and 172lbs), and got size 10. When I first tried it on, it fit perfectly and very comfortably. However, after wearing for a few hours, the denim fabric "relaxes" a bit, making it really loose on me, sagging at the butt, so I was pulling it up constantly. In hindsight, I should've gone 1 size down, having it tight at first, knowing it would be a little looser as I wear it. So keep that in mind when finding your size. The leg length was perfect too (I'm 5'4"), sit just right below the ankle bone). If you're taller, it would be a little short or above the ankle.

I lived in these pants! Love them!

I love everything about these pants and lived in them most of the time during and after pregnancy. They are stretchy through all parts, so they worked as I gained and lost weight. They come up really high over the belly. I am only 5'2" and I was shocked that these weren't long on me. The front pockets are fake, but the back pockets are big enough for my phone. They are so comfortable that even a year after giving birth I am having a really hard time letting them go. The fabric just now started to get a little thin in some areas, and I am pleased with how long they lasted. I will definitely buy another pair or two next pregnancy.

Ostomates pls buy!

Im not pregnant- i have a ‘poo’ bag. I can no longer wear normal jeans. I thought these would be a good idea. I was right!! Ostomates - these jeans rock! We can be cool again!!

Ok until 3rd trimester

Great maternity pants during second trimester but as I entered my third trimester, I noticed they were too tight where the jeans meets the belly panel.

Most comfortable maternity pants yet!

I’m only 5 feet tall, overweight and curvy so finding maternity jeans/pants has been a nightmare. These were a blessing. They run large so order a size down but extremely comfortable. I don’t understand why all maternity stuff isn’t this stretchy when you have days that your legs swell or you’re extra bloated, you need to have some stretch. My only frustration is that the belly panel isn’t really tight but I’m only 18 weeks, so I just fold it over. I went ahead and bought two pairs because I liked these so much.
