Exactly What I Was Looking For

I like these type of collars, because they are less intrusive than just a plain choker. My little black lab mix is a small dog of about 35 lbs, and most of the collars I found like this were an inch wide with a heavier chaing, which was a little too heavy and robust for a dog this size, The medium size collar, that these folks have is 3/4" wide, with a lighter chain. The collar adjusts down to the smallest size for the medium and fit my little dog perfectly. The other reason I like these collars compared to some of the others is because it has a release for taking it on and off. Some of the other collars would have to be pulled over their head. I live on a ranch, and so many times, if I'm out working with my dog, I remove the collar in case he would get hung up on something. The grey reflector part of the collar works well. Lastly, the price of this collar is better than most, but the quality is top notch. Also, the sellers seem genuinely interested in their customers, the dogs, and in their product. I would recommend this collar.

Great option for a pinch collar or regular collar!

I recently adopted a pit/mastiff puppy. He's already 61lbs and we're still getting to know each other. He's fine on walks, but loves to take off and jerk my arm when something scares him. I needed a collar that would help me train him, but not hurt him when he takes off in a panic. This collar has been so helpful! He's learning that taking off in a panic causes the collar to pinch on his neck so he's starting to look at me vs bee line for the nearest place to hide. I know we still have some work to do, but I'm very happy to have found this collar to help me get there. It's now his regular collar as well since it can double as a standard collar and its also so easy to remove! Just a quick pinch on the clasp and it's off. Overall it seems very sturdy too... Trust me when I say my boy has tested it limits! Great buy!

Does the job, no more slipping out of the collar

It does the job so out dog no longer slips out of the collar so we stopped using harness since we got this. It does require some adjustment once in a while as sometimes we saw our dog playing with the metal chain, tightening it makes it difficult to reach the chain. Good quality for the price and would highly recommend.

As advertised

I bought the Medium and it states that 14" is the smallest it goes. I agree, any smaller necked pooch and I would prob send back. So if you have a dog with a 13" neck probably possible to drop off when they look down or are eating... Be advised. The Strap is 3/4" wide and the name tag I have that clips to a collar fit fine. Someone stated 1" which is just bad info. too lazy to measure or too much of a hurry to chime in. I recommend this product and for the price, I am happy, albeit just got it and put it on the pooch and have yet to test it for a while.

Immediate improvement

I am actually using this collar to prevent my wiley Pit Bull from wriggling out of her collar and off her tie out. She figured this out by accident and has perfected the "Houdini" move to release herself from her tie out leaving a cable and collar behind. She had become so comfortable doing this she would actually look me in the eye, do the "Houdini" and roll out! First attempt with her new collar and her frustration and irritation was evident as she huffed and puffed and did her duty, then returned back into the house. This collar has also improved her behavior on a leash and I have a new dog! Thank you.

Worked great, eventually broke.

Well, it worked great for awhile, but the plastic connector eventually snapped. Probably better for walking the dogs. I used mine on a tied up outside, she loves the sun. I have a small pitbull out in the country and she wants to meet a deer, finally got enough running speed to break the plastic part.

Durable, good collar for training.

I like the collar as its durable and it does help train the dog to walk better on the leash. I couldn't see putting a regular metal linked choker to help, I wanted something a little less harsh. This seems perfect. My dog is a lab mix, 73 lbs and I'm using it to stop the sudden lunging while on the leash. It seems to be working.

Be careful

On multiple occasions this collar has unclipped with a minuscule amount of tug from my dog. The cheap clip needs to “click” twice, don’t trust the first one otherwise you could lose whatever is attached to the other end. Otherwise it’s fine, nothing special. You get what you pay for but it works (again, if you’re careful) and feels high quality enough!

sturdy, great quality

My dog went through a few collars with ease. I have a 70 lbs sheepadoodle and this collar has held up well for over a month already. Still looks as good as new and my dog does not mind it. Very happy with the purchase

Buena calidad

Una muy buena opción si sus perros se jalan cuando los pasean, a diferencia de los collares que son sólo de cadena, este aprieta pero no los lastima. En lo particular me ha servido para mi perrita tipo pitbull que tiene toda la energía y fuerza del mundo, aunque se jale no se desabrocha.

Fixed size and not adjustable

The sizing as mentioned on the listing does not hold true for the product in hand. You also cannot adjust these collars. That makes no sense. I'd no buy another one. In fact, had to buy a different brand that was adjustable.

Simple yet does fabulous job

Very stylish, simple but pretty. Doesn’t bother when just on my dog, she wears it as necklace more than collar, when using the leash with it, then it becomes collar as the chain design keeps the collar tight enough so doesn’t come undone.
