Can't go wrong

SeaVees are officially my go-to sneaker. They go with everything, they're comfortable and supportive, and you can't beat their timeless profile.

Initial impressions

Here are the facts: 1. The sizing is exactly the same as the vans authentic 2. The upper material feels kind of like a bathing suit, which is nice because I expect it will be very easy to clean. 3. From the pictures, it appears as though the insole/footbed is soft and squishy. It’s actually more firm than it looks, which is actually ideal for adding stability. Soft, squishy foot beds are nice to stand on but, if your walking on uneven terrain or carrying something, you’ll roll your ankles due to the extra “give” in the footbed. This shoe has found that perfect middle ground between stability and padding. 4. While the sizing is identical to vans, the style and fit is most similar to the Sperry Captain’s CVO - slightly higher than the vans authentic. 5. These do feel nice barefoot. They also feel nice with socks. While they’re slightly higher than the authentics, they are able to still slip on and off like authentics - unlike the Sperry Captain’s CVO. 6. It is a shame that seavees isn’t more popular because this shoe is literally the perfect shoe. Like, I put them on and thought, “well, I guess I won’t need my other shoes.” 7. Worth the price. Buy them. Don’t think about it. Just do it.
