Nice hook, but picture of hook is not right!

Andrea is right. That area above the threads is about 3/8" in diameter. It's almost like a cup hook piece. In my application that area is hidden so it wasn't a big concern. The rest of the hook is fine though and looks nice.

NOT what is pictured!

I purchased the Hillman 3/4 Square Bend Hooks at the local Big Box Store, but needed a larger quantity and did not want to run all over town so decided to order through Amazon...the photo indicated a product just like the ones purchased locally. However, the item I received was different. The Amazon product was 5/8 inch to the bent and the collar was larger, not stable and bent. Not happy with product.

Only two hooks weren’t usable (one wasn’t bent, the other didn’t have the little shoulder). But still a great value!

Misleading Photo

These hooks arrived today, and while the size (3/4) is accurate, I was very disappointed in the size of the ring around the base of the hook. I had specifically chosen these hooks because the base (where the hook meets the screw area) was small and unobtrusive--only slightly larger than the diameter of the hook itself. However, in reality, they are much larger, about 4x wider, than the image shown. Also, they are not flat, but are slightly domed with a concave indent near the hook. This is not at all what I was looking for aesthetically and I am very disappointed. If you are looking for a simple 3/4 shoulder brass hook and WANT the larger base, this will work well for you. I, however, really resent the misleading photo and will be returning these.
