Easy on, easy off with excellent quality
These pants have full side zips, which makes them an excellent choice to use while hiking. I need to wear bulky boots and the other rain pants that I tried on would not make it over the boots either at all, or only with much difficulty. I wear a size 6 pants usually, which would be a Small, but I also tried on these, a Medium. While the Small's fit if I was not wearing them over other pants, with pants on, the Small pants bound on my legs when I lifted them knee high, something that happens frequently while hiking. So I opted for the Mediums. The seat is slightly billow-y, but in this case I am favoring function over style. As others have noted, the waist is secured with velcro, which we all know wears out with time and use. When that day comes, I'll replace the velcro myself. If that's not something you know how to do, or don't want to pay someone to do that for you, then you should consider the velcro in your purchasing decision. I like that the ankles have snaps to secure the zipped closure, plus they each have an interior elastic to snug them in for either rain or to shorten them if needed, so they don't drag, depending on which shoes I'll be wearing with them. After all, I intend to wear these where big hiking boots aren't required. The zipped pockets are nice. They are not huge, but they are more than adequate to fit in a phone, keys, etc. Plus, with the full zip sides, you can zip down from the top to reach your pant's pockets. These pants are not heavy, but know that they are not ultralight, either. But they likely won't snag or tear easily, either.

These are perfect
Can’t go wrong for getting these. I lost my last ones and others I had didn’t protect me from the rain nearly as well.

Learn to unzip correctly.
These pants are pretty nice to take on and off without needing to take off your boots. I usually order size small or 26" waist, and these fit pretty snug at the waist, even with the elasticity. If you want a more relaxed fit at the waist, size up. But I'm okay with it fitting snug, because the rest of the pant is still roomy but not too form fitting. It does make a bit of noise when moving about. I saw the complaints about people unable to unzip all the way, but it's most likely they're unzipping them in the wrong direction. To unzip, you pull UP from the ankle and it comes open at the waist. Even knowing this, I keep catching myself trying to unzip from the waist down, like how we normally do on regular pants. The velcro at the waist that keeps the pants together while you zip/unzip isn't very long but it seems to have a good grip but we'll see how long that lasts. There's a snap button at the ankle to keep the ankle flap together, and inside is a cord and cinch thingy so you can make it tighter at each ankle. The pockets are in a good place, with zippers to keep items secure. The inside of the pockets are of a mesh material. The inner lining is like you would find in a basic north face $99 jacket, with the white lining and taped seams. I would not put this in a washing machine for fear of breaking down the waterproofing liner. The pants are thin, and lightweight. Perfect for just rolling up and stuffing in your pack.

Truly water proof!
I think I could have ordered a size smaller but went with large because of a sale and wanting to be able to layer underneath the pants. I wore these in Banff, Yoho and Jasper national parks during spring when there was still snow coverage and moderate rain. Kept me dry. Waterproofing means they do get hot, so I did wear them with shorts when able to prevent overheating and sweating beneath. If it’s lighter rain, you can unzip partway for venting. Zippers we’re great for getting them on/off over my hiking boots. Stayed dry the whole time! Used them about 2 weeks on and off. Lightweight and easy to put in my day pack when not needed.

Perfect inclement weather pants
My son is a baseball player and I need to be prepared for all weather, these pants are perfect for all weather, they are easy to get on and off, they work over other pants and shorts. The pockets are so well placed and useful. The entire leg zips so easy on and off. There is a toggle at the ankle so you can wear them as pants of tighten the toggle for a jogger look

Great pants except for velcro closures
I am an extremely active volunteer trail crew leader in the Olympic Mountains, where it does actually rain a lot. Rain pants are critical for my trail work and backpacking. These are perfect in every possible way (fit, genuinely waterproof, etc). The one problem, which is a big one, is the way they are designed to stay closed, since they are full zip. Full zip is great - it allows me to put the pants on and off without having to remove my boots every time. This is the second time I've owned these pants (I literally wore the other ones out, which is hard to do) and I've had the same problem with the velcro closures both times. They simply don't hold well. Yes, I bought these a second time after I wore my first pair out, but I guess I was feeling optimistic that maybe I just wore the velcro out too and couldn't remember if they ever held well. They don't. If Marmot would fix those velcro closures to something more reliable, I would easily give these rain pants a 5 star. Meanwhile, I will now use these but I tend to use them with suspenders due to the weakness of the velcro closures.

great rainpants for the price
I've worn these several times. During cold months I wear leggings under it and I'm perfectly warm. In warmer months I would feel fine with it on bare skin. I've hiked in it in heavy rain and I'm completely dry and not sweaty, so I'm happy with it and the price. I've seen complaints about the noise they make. That's subjective, but I don't think it's noisy, and my experience is that the rain itself cancels out any sound the pants may make. But t's never been an issue for me, not at $69.. Rainpants that are noiseless would cost more.

Pocket zipper broke on third day
I loved this pant the first two days. On the third day, without anything unusal, the pocket zipper went off track and could not be fixed. For one-hundred dollar water pants, this was very disappointing. I bought the pants for a specific trip so they could easily go over zodiac boots. They worked great for that but now I have a broken zipper and an unusable pocket. I had bought the pant in advance for a trip so it was past the time for return. What a waste.

good rain pant for the money
I have used goretex most of my camping life but thought I would try the other technologies out there and found the Marmot precip pants great. Good features like side zips so you don't have to pull your boots off, waist adjustment and pockets. Much cheaper than goretex and works well

Size Matters
When purchasing this items one must remember that they will be fitting tight. If you plan to wear a layer underneath I suggest to buy one size larger than you would normally wear.

Good quality
Easy to put on and take off. Full zipper is really practical. It’s a waterproof shell, used it for hikes and payed attention not to scratch it.
