The best.
If you're a boat owner who has shore power at your dock or slip, you need a good electric cord. This cord is a good one. It's the second one we've had (I screwed up the first one (my fault) and ordered this replacement. It's 10 gauge wire to carry the load. Don't settle for smaller gauge or you'll be sorry. Also use the locking ring on the female end if at all possible. That will keep the cord for jiggling around ad making a bad connection. I put a new end on the damaged cord, but it's not marine grade, so I'm reluctant to use it even for a backup. I've heard too many horror stories about damaged/burned boats from the use of improper cords. This is a solid cord. I recommend it highly.

Industry Standard!
Great product, and save money buying here vs. popular marine store! Never sure why they don't come with the locking ring on both ends, but if your using a 50/30 amp splitter, make sure you have them on both ends of the connection. You don't want moisture intrusion. If you find a burn spot on the neutral leg on either end, you may have an issue with galvanic isolation. Have you boat mechanic check this condition. I have never had any luck replacing the ends, but I know some who have. I don't like messing with electricity. If you drop an end into salt water, make sure you rinse and let dry before reconnecting.

Purchased a pair of these cord sets.
Marinco is pretty much the standard for marine shore power cords. The cords are performing as expected. I purchased these to replace two Marinco cords that were 20+ years old. My cords are plugged into my Trawler twenty-four hours a day unless we are cruising. These cords take a beating in the harshest environment. So far the LED's are holding up well. Very satisfied with the purchase and a pretty good deal as well.

50 ft.. No Loss of Power for Generator
Purchased the 50 ft. Marinco 30 amp cord for my 3600 Generac generator to run 2 refrigerator/freezers, a separate 20 amp extension cord that I made ran the cable box, router, modem, flat screen tv and oscillating fan from a surge protector. Ran all for approx. 2 hours with no loss of power. Neither cord got hot, or even warm, by the way. A good heavy duty cord since it's 10 gauge, and it locks into the generators outlet so it doesn't shake loose from the vibrations...an important feature. It's worth the $85.78 that I paid. If you need a well-designed, heavy duty cord, I recommend this cord. Don't buy something cheap and risk the cord getting hot, and shorting out expensive equipment/appliances, or worse. Spend the money on quality items that will function properly and last.

Indicator LED kaput
Marinco makes good stuff. I’ve owned several of their 50 ft 30 amp cords. They can get a little scruffy over time so I’ll then buy a brand new shiny yellow one. Makes me feel good. This time though the LED indicator didn’t work right out of the package — too much bother to send back. My previous cord had the indicator feature too, and it still worked even after the cord was old and decrepit. So I’d have felt happier if my brand new shiny yellow cord right out of the package had come with a working indicator LED. Marinco would have earned five stars too.

Very happy
I am revising my review to five stars . I contacted Marinco directly, and they are warrantying my cord set and all correspondence was quick and friendly. And I have had other Marinco items and all have been too quality!!! Sorry, it may be just the one I bought, but I just got this cord in may, used it 3 times and twice it has shorted internally, and made me look foolish at two different marinas, shorting out there main power grid.

High quality - with an led power indicator!
The dock circuit breaker kept switching to off, especially after raining. The marina advised getting a marine grade cord (ours was a home built one from the previous owner). This Marinco cord solved the problem. I had one of these same many years ago on a different boat - same great quality, but now it has a small red led in the boat side connector to show you if you have power. Sweet!

They do what they are supposed to. I especially like the light on the boat end to let you know if the dock end has power. It's so nice to have clean intact shorepower cords. And these are cheap.
