Better than wooden rhythm sticks!
I have been looking for these sticks EVERYWHERE. I used to borrow a set of lummi sticks from a coworker every year but sadly she is moving and I wouldn’t have access to her sticks anymore. Her sticks were only blue and red. This set has red, blue, yellow and green! Yes, these sticks are plastic! They are similar to pvc pipe but not quite as thick. I 100% recommend these lummi sticks over wooden sticks because lummi sticks will not splinter or crack. I work as a Music Therapist and I serve students with special needs; including students with emotional behaviors disorders. Trust me. These sticks will withstand any bite, hit, or flight across the classroom! I ordered 2 sets of lummi sticks; 48 sticks, 24 pairs. Make sure you check the amount of sticks that are sent to you. I received only 47 out of 48 sticks. Amazon sent me a replacement pack free of charge. 1,000% reccomend!

Colorful, durable, affordable
I bought these lummi sticks to use in my elementary school music classes. They are just what I wanted. They are colorful, durable, and they make a good tapping sound. I use them as rhythm sticks. They can also be used for Maori singing games where sticks are needed. They are comfortable for students to hold. I have wood rhythm sticks that are longer, but over time they can chip and splinter. These lummi sticks were very affordable, but keep watching to get the best deals because Amazon carries a range of prices. The reviewer who was dissatisfied because her lummi sticks didn't produce "different tones" actually needs pipes of different lengths to produce different tones. As you can see from the picture, lummi sticks are all the same length. They will all produce the same tone.

Indestructible and loud rhythm sticks
I have bought five sets of these from Amazon and other sources over the past eight years. I use them to teach Maori stick games as a much teacher and also use them as rhythm sticks. I have taught some crazy children over the years and no one has ever managed to break one of these things. Which is saying a lot when you teach middle school general music. These sticks are plastic and so they are loud. I used these at VBS this summer and the kids loved them!

Good for the price
The price was right for my classroom, and it seems like they should be a little easier on the ears than a room full of wooden rhythm sticks. Colors are very rich and I think the kids will love using them. We'll see how well they hold up. Wish there was an option to just buy one or two pairs as spares just in case...I don't really have it in the budget to spend another $20 on a full set. Took off a star because some of them are not totally round, which changes the tone.

Missing Parts
I love the durability of these sticks, as well as the bright colors. However, the first set that I ordered only contained 16 sticks, 4 of each color. Amazon customer service was fantastic and shipped me a replacement set, but that set still only contained 16. Very frustrating to have the same issue twice. I also feel like I overpayed because of the smaller number received. Initial review: 2 stars. *Update: Amazon and the seller have been fantastic in helping me with replacement parts to complete my order. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the hassle.

Durable, colorful, and nice sound
Perfect for elementary music. Sure, they don't make the nice wooden tone, but they also don't splinter and break, which is why I ordered these. I'm having to replace my wooden ones that broke. They're colorful and make a nice tapping sound that isn't overwhelming or overstimulating. I like the size and shape, too. I'm most excited that I won't need to replace these any time soon!

Perfect for tititorea
Exactly what I was looking for in the product. I wanted something I could play the tititorea game with my students that were light weight and a good grip size. We were able to play the game and could color code our right and left hands when we did more advanced moves.

These are PLASTIC.
These are NOT wooden lummi sticks. They are hollow plastic tubes. If that's what you're looking for, then you're good to go, but in the event you're looking for real lummi sticks, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Great for music class
I purchased these sticks for music and for a Christmas concert song to do with my class. It worked out really well. The green lummi sticks actually glow in a black light setting.

Very Satisfied
Love the sound, not as loud as wood, which is great in a class of 30 students. They seem indestructible as well. Kids love the different colour combinations.
