I ended up liking this swimsuit a lot more than expected! I wasn't sure with the mesh and embroidery how much I'd like it, but it's actually a really, really nice suit. First, in terms of size- I was wary that it wasn't a "number" size, just a large- but it ended up fitting me pretty much as expected. I'm 5'7" and just under 150 lbs with an athletic build; not super lean, but more muscular. I like full-piece suits because I have some lower belly pudge, like most women, and I like how they hide that little ride! Anyhoo, my suits are usually in the 10-12 range, and I hoped that a "large" is what sizes were covered. The large is a smidge too loose in some places, but nothing terrible; I'm sure if I had a medium, it would be way too tight and the "sexy mesh" would create some not-so-sexy-highlighted-by-mesh-rolls! The mesh definitely gives the suit a bit of flair. I was worried that I would be uncomfortable with the low cut on the front, but it's really not that revealing (and besides, if I wear a bikini, I show WAY more skin!!). I feel like the suit would look a LOT better if I had some actual cleavage....unfortunately, getting a size "large" swim suit to fit my body shape/type usually means that the boob region is larger too, but I'm pretty flat chested. Ah well. There is some mesh in the oblique region, so if you are uncomfortable with the love handle area, keep in mind that that area will be shown off. I really like the cross-straps in the back--that, plus the high neck line gives the suit a nice, secure fit--and I also like the mesh at the bottom on the back. It really makes the suit unique. I can imagine that during the summer, if I wear this often enough, I'll get some pretty weird tan lines....that will be the only downside! Overall, a much better-looking suit than the picture portrays. It's something different, sassy, fun, and unique--I'm ready for the summer so I can wear it often!
