I really appreciate having a smaller size but the container doesn't seem secure on my 3 Series.
This review is for the Vitamix Container, 48 oz., Clear container. Vitamix is the industry standard for blending, creating sauces etc. But the default container size tends to be bigger than needed for most home jobs. So I ordered this smaller size. My first impressions were good quality, typical of what I expect from Vitamix. But the color was not consistent with my current unit. After consideration I figured this was actually a good thing so you can identify the lids and plungers appropriately. The reason this is only a 4-star rating is because of the compatibility. When using this smaller container it shifted/twisted during processing. That is, it doesn't stay secure. Which makes it feel incompatible although the results where pretty consistent. I don't experience this shift with the default large container so it felt "off". To be clear, it still blends and engages with the motor but it doesn't have a snug fit with guide posts on the blender so when you turn it on it the container turns a few degrees until it hits the posts at an angle. I would agree this is a minor nitpick if this was a cheaper knock-off item, but for an "official" container and the associated cost, I feel this is a design fault. For the price, this smaller sized container should be completely compatible in every way without any slippage.

Worked with my older model Vitamix
I purchased this Vitamix container as a replacement for my Vitamix Creations II container item # 102981, which I purchased several years ago. I'm happy to report that this container works perfect with my old Vitamix Creations II base, older model. And it arrived new and in perfect condition.

Vitamix fits model 5200 with a little help
The kitchen in our condo is small and counter space is very limited. We wanted to get a shorter container for our model 5200 so it will fit under our cabinets. This 48 ounce container fits perfectly under our cabinets but sadly it doesn’t fit our 5200 base securely. The problem is it fits loosely on the four hard rubber posts on the base. I decided to try to find a way to make it fit properly. I took some measurements and decided to try some 1” OD X ¾” ID clear PVC tubing (Amazon sells a 2’ piece cheap) on the posts for a tighter fit and it works perfectly:) I cut four 1” long pieces of the tubing and put one on each post, see pics. Hope this tip helps others!

Great design
This fits and works perfectly with my Vitamix, and now I can keep it under my upper kitchen cabinets. It was worth the high price.

Far more convenient than the 64 oz.
This 48 oz pitcher is fantastic. It is easier to use for blending thicker things that don’t require such a large quantity like dips or soup base. I put off buying the smaller size and made due with the larger pitcher for a long time and wish I would have purchased sooner. It is a lot easier to scrape out. Utensils reach the bottom to scrape without getting your hands goopy.

Love the smaller size, and love having another container for my Vitamix. This fits an older model bought from Costco about 10 years ago.

What a Relief to Find this Replacement Container
I had a freak accident that shattered my original Vitamix container. It was not the fault of Vitamix. It was all mine. I didn't know I could get a replacement container and delayed looking for a long time, fearing I'd have to replace the entire unit, which wasn't in my budget these days. What a relief to find this replacement. This is somewhat smaller than my original, but it fits on the base very well and also fits more easily under the kitchen cabinets, so I'm very happy with it!

Vraiment efficace!
Je suis vraiment satisfaite de mon nouveau vase, il est plus petit, plus facile à manipuler quand on fait des choses, comme du humus. Beaucoup plus facile à récupérer le maximum. Très contente. Malheureusement le coût a presque doublé depuis un an. J’ai trop attendu maintenant je paie le gros prix, pour rien…

Expensive but works really well
We have the large 64oz and travel cup sizes and wanted something more practical in size. This 48 oz jar works awesome. The smaller travel cup sizes sometimes struggled to blend the ingredients but this 48oz jar works awesomely. We use it for smoothies, making soups, and other meals. It's very versatile. We're glad we bought it....

Blitzes just about anything.
Great product. Will liquify anything. Even beets. It is a bit loud, but quiet compared to other blenders I've had. Quieter than a juicer, for example.
