Quality tool!

Well, I'm mechanic for long time and as such I like to have the best tools. I remember when I was boy and my grand father had american and German tools. At the time they were the best. After the even of the U.S. sending almost all tools production to China there is only one option now to buy quality, KNIPEX! made in Germany! the best! Oh and by the way it is cheap, and what I mean is simple. Buying "cheap" chinese stuff is very expensive because we have to buy over and over again. German tools we buy once and lasts "forever", which one is cheap? you got the picture. The Germans still care about quality and there's a lot of people out there wanting to buy quality. I'm so glad amazon sells Knipex tools! I finally found a hi quality tool brand and a place to buy it!

I returned them.

I returned them. Even after correct adjustment, these simply did not work well on standard 12AWG wire. The problem is that the cutting surface that is formed is diamond shaped rather than circular, so no matter what, the insulation will not be fully cut. Even giving a twist, these would not fully cut the insulation, and so were a struggle to use. Also, fiddling with these to switch between AWG12 and AWG14 wire seemed like a real pain that would not get better. For comparison, I got out my standard Channelock and Klien strippers, and those worked so much easier and cleaner, that I concluded that the $26 for these just wasn't worth it. Maybe I just don't get it, but I did try multiple times with these, and just didn't get satisfactory results. I really tried to like them, but no go.

Ergonomically the most functional way to strip wire

I bought this mostly because of the name and every time I've purchased this brand, I'm never disappointed. I was very skeptical at fist because of the non traditional way of stripping wires but going off of another review were they explain that you get an idea of how to adjust it correctly by just looking at the wire and after several uses but I got it right on the first use. Now I won't go back to anything else.

Best strippers

Gosh dang best pair of wire strippers Ive used, edge could be sharper but it doesnt mangle the wire like the more elaborate pairs. Closest thing to your teeth without the dentistry bill

A Must Have For Fine Electronics Work

This is an amazing wire stripper. It really shines with the smaller gauge, as evident by the picture. The handles are soft urethane. It is ridiculously easy to get consistent cuts every time. A must have for fine electronics work.
