Repurposed as Appliance Cover

I ordered this to use as an appliance cover for my toaster oven as it is difficult to find covers for it. For what I need it to do, it works very well. However I do have some observations regarding its intended use as a changing pad cover. First, it is amazingly soft. A baby would be very comfortable on it, and parents would not need to worry about sensitive skin being scratched. I didn't read the description thoroughly so was surprised to find it was elasticized rather than a slip cover style. This actually makes it better for my purposes, but babies are not generally passive when their diapers are being changed or they are being dressed. They wriggle, squirm, twist, turn, slide, roll over, and make diaper changing a thorough workout for the caregiver. I have a hard time imagining that the cover would not come off during the diaper change. My other concern is the fact that one good dirty diaper would probably create enough of a mess that the pad would need to be taken off and laundered afterwards. I actually found it much more practical for kids and grandkids to not use a cover, but just to keep wipes handy to clean off the pad after each change. It seems much more sanitary than a cloth cover that will easily harbor germs. Since it works quite well as an appliance cover, and since I can only make suppositions about its use as a changing pad cover, I'm giving it 4 stars. It does what I need it to do.

Recommended item

This item itself is very nice, top of the line even in quality, looks, & softness but if you have a diaper leak or blowout the problems start and the stains will be an issue. I think this is more or less made for show and not function because in the end it's just one more thing to clean. You will have to have the disposable liners if you want to keep this looking nice and pretty. It does clean up easily but I would not even use it without the liner. My niece changed her baby on it while she was here and she didn't use a liner on it so it got pretty dirty but it did clean up and still looks new after a wash.

Keeps Mess Minimum

Great to keep things clean and fresh. Definitely easier to clean than the pad and station themselves. It's soft and comfortable enough. Have to say it kind of lost its luster after a few washes.

Adorable for baby girl!

This changing pad cover is so sweet and soft for our baby girl due in a few months! It helps to add a little feminine touch to the nursery (was brother's before her). I can see it possibly staining if you have a blowout diaper, since the color is so light, but I know a lot of people use those waterproof liners on their covers. I just dreft it and soak it before washing, and have spare covers to swap out with. As shown in attached picture, it fits the Munchkin Changing Pad perfectly with plenty of room to spare!

Such a cute, soft changing pad cover

Soft and cute changing pad cover! The Bobby Changing Pad Cover fits a standard changing pad perfectly and the soft and snuggly cover material keeps baby happy. I love the really cute LOVE design, so sweet and fills the top all around. I really appreciate that it’s machine washable, so even if there is an accident, it’s no problem! A great fitting, soft cover, perfect for any little girl’s nursery. Summary: (1) fits standard 16" x 32" changing pad (2) soft, velvety cover (3) adorable pattern (4) machine washable

AWE!

Awe this is so soft and so lovely. This goes on just like a fitted sheet. Therefore the safety strap to hold your baby on the table that is with your changing pad can and should be always used. The cloth is very comfy for baby and a quick wipe up seems to work until the entire cover can be washed later. Or purchase water proof changing pads. Love the pink color!

Cute but not practical

It looks as pictured and it’s nice and soft. For me it just isn’t practical. I have to change poopy diapers multiple times a day and it doesn’t make sense to me to have to pay for a liner. That’s just one more thing to buy that’s unnecessary. And without it then it doesn’t really last more than a day or two. It does a quick wipe off but with a 1 and 1/2 year old that doesn’t last long. Ultimately it’s cute and if you’re willing to buy the liners then it’s for you. Otherwise getting a wipeable cover just makes more sense.
