The JOOVY is groovy!
For clarity this review is for the JOOVY New Room2 with gray fabric and gray mesh. It is replacing a Pack n Play TotBloc that my daughter is taking. I decided not to duplicate the previous play yard for several reasons: the JOOVY New Room2 is a bit larger, has more viewing area because of the upright support design, it has two wheels, comes with a waterproof sheet, a zippered carrying case, and the available color choice. My first thoughts: This is not light, but the wheels certainly make it much easier to move and prevents stressing the support legs because you don't have to drag it if you don't have help moving it. Set up was easy enough, similar to the P&P, and the padded mattress is okay for most babies and young toddlers. The waterproof sheet that came with it fits nicely and has deep pockets to keep it from popping off. There are reinforced slits for the straps to go through that hold the mattress to the frame. It has a velore-like top that is very soft and you can buy extras to have a spare just in case. The zippered case is nice to have because if you do use the NR2 for vacation, etc. it will help keep the dirt from getting in or the play yard frame from slipping out of the wrap-around mattress if you haven't tightened the straps enough. It's made from windbreaker type material and the zipper works easily. The reason why I chose the gray/gray was simple; wet baby fingers and drooling mouths are inevitable, and they attract dirt like a magnet. When your little one is old enough to stand, they will chew on the top rail and run their hands (and tongue) over the mesh. It doesn't take long for the play yard to look nasty if you're dealing with light colored fabric and mesh. My daughter's P&P has a very light gray fabric and white mesh. It only took the grandson a few months to make it look stained (she jokes it's just the top rail showing through). I'm hoping the darker gray will hide the dirt better, but if it doesn't, a quick wipe down should make it look new again. Now the Cons: It is heavy but if you are strong and in good shape you should be able to handle transportation with little difficulty. For the rest of us, it might be a struggle. I wish the mattress was tighter fitting but if you use the straps, especially if you have a "creative" child who likes to tunnel, the mattress should stay put. Check occasionally for missing toys under the mattress either way. Adding an additional aftermarket mattress is not recommended, and some reviewers have put extra blankets under the fitted sheet. I bought a spare waterproof sheet and doubled up and it's plenty soft. Since they are waterproof, if the top one gets soiled, it will be easy enough to remove it and a clean sheet is already on. None of the cons I've mentioned is enough for me to knock off a star. To wrap up this novel, it doesn't matter what color you choose, I think you'll be very pleased with the JOOVY New Room2 and the extra room your child will have to play in may give you peace of mind longer. I will update my review if my opinion changes or a problem arises. ****Update: I didn't have this unit a week before my grandson threw up in it! Down one side, stuck in the mesh, hitting the waterproof sheet and pooling under the mattress. Ugh! A few paper towels for the chunks and some disinfectant wipes for the rest and there were no traces of the accident. The moisture never went through the sheet and nothing leaked through the bottom onto the carpet. I was so relieved to see no traces of stains or smell the next day! On a side note, the bump or ridge that has been mentioned by other reviews has appeared in our mattress as well. It in no way interferes with the function of the play yard.

Best playpen I ever had
So a few years back I was in search for a spacious playpen. When I seen this one it checked every box for me , style , the mesh sides that I can see baby easy , the comfort. So I brought it and oh my goodness it was so sturdy, comfortable, came with a sheet as well . It was easy to set up and store away . Mt other kids would go play in there with the baby as well and it stood up to all the wildness!!! If your thinking of getting this playpen you will not be disappointed! I'm buying it again for sure !!!

Nice big play yard but impossible to find a mattress that is big enough.
The media could not be loaded. I like this play yard because it is the biggest out there that has the bottom off the ground and has wheels. My husband and I had trouble setting the play yard up and we thought we received a defective play yard. But my husband looked on youtube and we found a clip that showed us how to set up the play yard. The clip is by Baby Julius and is called “Joovy Room 2 play yard review & how to set up/pack up”. The instructions that comes with the play yard do NOT help. Also I’ve tried two different mattresses for the Room 2 and both are too small. The Dream on Me Totbloc and Biloban trifold square mattress. If pushed into one corner of the play yard, there is a 2” gap along two sides of the play yard with these two mattresses. The “mattress” that comes with the Room 2 is super flat. It is hard on one side and has thin foam on the other side. Please see the video I uploaded. The play yard comes with a removable and washable sheet for the mattress. The mattress is what is wrapped around the play yard when you first to take it out of the box. What would make this play yard perfect is if one side can be lowered and raised back up so I don’t have to bend over to put my baby in, take her out and interact with her. There are two sides of this play yard that are a couple inches shorter than the other two sides. These two sides are shorter because the top part is flat and doesn’t have the hump that the other two sides have. The short sides are where I put my baby into, take her out of and interact with her.

Great Product, but Difficult to Fold Up
Just when I thought it was broken, I tried again and was able to get all sides folded up. All the sides need to be folded up before pressing the inside down. Also, each side has a piece in the center with two locking mechanisms, which need to be locked into place together or it will appear broken. I hope this helps! This is a great product for a growing todfant

The ONLY Playard I should've had from the START!
My son is two, and he's in the 75th percentile in his height. I knew that we needed to upgrade from our old pack-n-play to one that would support his weight and his height. Out of desperation for an upcoming trip, I decided to pull the trigger and get this big boy and big boy playard. He took to this SO well, that we had ZERO issues introducing the new portable playard that served as his travel crib while away. He has plenty of space for his stuffies that he sleeps with daily, and enough room to roll around without feeling confined. The assembly is a total SNAP - literally - and the pack up and go is a total breeze! The only downfall is that this thing is HEAVY, so you will need help to carry it up the stairs, or simply slide it up like I did, and you'll be golden! Bye Bye Pack-N-Play; hello Joovy! Wish I would've heard about this months ago; we definitely wouldn't be with two pack-n-plays.

Nice size but STINKS
Was looking for a good size pack n play for when I needed to cook dinner or do laundry. This size is great for the little one to move around and play. We haven’t seen the issue with the mattress that others mentioned but can see how that happens because the waterproof sheet is very tight to fit. It is on the heavy side so likely will not move around much. My biggest complaint is the off gassing. God it stinks! I have had it 2 days and still such a strong chemical smell that I don’t want my kid in it. Hope fades soon so can use.

Easy to use oversized playpen
This is a great playpen. But enough for two babies, easy to put together and easy to put away. It comes with a waterproof mattress cover as well. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an oversized playpen or a playpen for twins.

Perfect for my girl&boy???????????????? twins they both fit in it and sleep in it, plenty of room easy to set up, way easier than any other playpen and light to carry to Grammies for overnights or to pack n play, orderd the mattress pad that comes w it and its super comfy washed it over twenty or so times prob more and its such good quality no issues at all w this playpen or the mattress or the matress pad Definitely best playpen ever???????????? Defiantly worth it didn't take long to come in either Very happy keeping this for life ????☺️????

Corralito ideal para casa de los abuelos
Andaba buscando un corralito, pero en general todos son como area de juegos donde tienes que poner a parte un tapete o eran muy grandes, este corral me gustó porque el tamaño es bueno porque no es ni muy grande ni muy pequeño. Es fácil de instalarlo, aunque puede ser que al principio parezca complicado (me ayudó ver un video de youtube), pero creo que realmente es una muy buena opción de compra.

Nice and roomy for two babies to play. My son slept in there for a couple months due to medical reasons (club foot with boots and metal bar) He needed the space to flip back and forth from his back to belly without making the loud clanging noises that his bar would make if he was in his crib all night. It really helped his transition from learning to roll over from his back to stomach in the middle of the night without waking up and crying all night because it scared him (and his brother in his crib right next to him) The matt is a little hard and doesn't fit that snug in the playpen. Although the matt sheet cover is soft and good quality, the fit was it was a bit tight which caused the matt to buckle.. Unfortunately, It cost a fortune to buy another sheet, so when you want to wash the one sheet, the babies will have to play on the hard surface until the sheet is washed. It's fairly easy to pack up once you figure it out and easy to transport. Good quality.
