Cute Spring & Summer Dress

For reference, I am 5’6”, about 140 lb, a 34bust, 28 waste, and typically wear between small/medium in most tops and dresses. I ordered the dress in a small and as you can see it was too big for me. There is elastic that stretches out and adds so much extra room that I for sure need to size down to an x-small. If you’re between sizes, I would recommend sizing down, as the dress has a lot of extra room. The material is very comfortable (no itchy parts) and the white is not see-through at all! I’m wearing a nude-colored bra in my photos and there are no visible bra lines through the shirt. I was also wearing black shorts under the dress and you can not see them at all! The bottom part of the dress is lined and has great coverage. The buttons are functional, as well as the middle tie being able to be retied. It is so comfortable, very lightweight, and perfect for the warmer months. I love the sleeves and the eyelet fabric, as I think they bring a pretty, feminine touch to a ‘basic white dress’. My only ‘complaint’ would be that the dress hits me exactly above my knees which for me is a little long… I wish it was just a little shorter but overall, it’s fine since so many people would love the length. I think this dress is versatile, cute, comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it to others. I hope that helps!

Buyer Beware - Size & Seller

Cute, nice quaintly, but runs big overall. The dress deserves 4 stars, but because of the seller I gave it 3. I would like to purchase a size down, but after I submitted a return request, the seller lowered the cost of the size I ordered (medium) by $3 and raised the price on the size down (small) by $4. It appears the seller knows it runs big and this tactic capitalizes on that. It's only a few dollars, but if this happens with each buyer's repurchase, that's a relatively large financial gain for the seller. I prefer to purchase from sellers who don't take advantage of their customers. As it is, the dress is a bit overpriced. I looked online at Nordstrom and found a cute eyelet dress for $20 less and will buy that instead. Buyer beware.

Fit is meh, no slip for top part of dress.

I really wanted to love this but it made me look so much heavier and did nothing for figure. No slip for the top. Overpriced in my opinion.

Runs Large and Top isn’t lined- can see right through!

It’s so cute! Unfortunately, I had to return mine. The sizing runs VERY large. My normal size was swimming on me. I would have returned for the next size down, but the eyelet on top is unlined. I would either have to wear a tank underneath or never be able to wear it to work. If the top was lined I would order it in a size down in ever single color!

Too short in the torso

This is a very nice, high-quality, feminine dress. Unfortunately, I found that it was a little too short waisted, and I'm actually short waisted, so that says a lot. I ordered based on the recommended sizing, but the gathered waist band still sat higher than my actual waist. I really couldn't find a way to make it work and had to return it.

Runs BIG

Very cute! This item runs BIG. Like 1-2 full sizes bigger than J. Crew. Be sure to order at least 1 size smaller than you typically would take. At regular J. Crew I would typically take a L because I’m quite busty. I got this in the L and it was far too big, exchanged for the M and it’s cute. Probably could have even went with the Small though.

Really cute dress but size down 1-2 sizes.

I’m a medium, can wear a large depending on the item because of my ample bust. I ordered this in a medium and I definitely could have ordered a small and I NEVER buy a small. The dress itself is super cute, lined, looks great as a casual or semi-casual dress and is great for hot weather.
