Brighter than original fixture.

Replaced a fixture than came with the Hunter fan that didn't shed enough light. This one did the trick, and since the one I got was a return, it was reduced in price! Very pleased with the result. The color also matched the original fan perfectly. Was fairly easy to install as well. The fixture does not come with the glass globes, but those were cheaply procured at a thrift store.

Screws are indeed too short

Oh, Hunter, why do you: 1. Build a superior fan, but ship it with a crappy candelabra light kit 2. Provide an alternative light kit, make wire hookup a breathe, yet deliver a massive doze of frustration through the screws that are too short to make it a 5 min replacement job After 30 minutes of fiddling with it I gave up. I'll see if Home Depot will provide a solution, but if not this will have to go back.

Perfect Replacement

I gave this 5 stars. The original Hunter light kit that came with the fan can be seen in the first photo - two candelabra bulbs that got very hot and didn't put out enough light for our 20x18 bedroom. The original lampshade was made of resin and blocked the light even more, very poor design by Hunter. The replacement was VERY easy to install. The pre-installed wire fittings matched perfectly to my Hunter fan. Some reviews mentioned short screws (that they were not long enough). I had no issues at all, they were perfect. Perhaps others didn't hold the light kit tight enough against the base during assembly. The new light gives off plenty of light, lights up the entire bedroom. It also comes with bulbs which is nice. I also purchased the recommended hunter glass shades that came up on amazon when I made this purchase. Looks Great - highly recommend! Hope this helps others.

"THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS"!

The fixture came as expected, well packaged, with no damage issues. We installed the fixture onto a Hunter ceiling fan. We read several reviews about the screws being too short, THEY WERE, we had to run out to 2 hardware stores to find the right size and color. Not a big issue but the fixture hung by the electrical hooks till we returned. 4 bulbs were included, DONT USE THEM! They emitted such a bad odor we could not breathe and had headaches. We tried for 2 days turning on the lights for maybe 15 minutes before we could not stand the smell. We contacted Amazon customer service and received a partial refund for the bulbs. The light fixture works great now with new bulbs.

Amazing! Don't give up! It works!

I originally bought the globe version of this fan, to replace an old fan with 5 lights. But it did not provide enough light so I bought this. I was getting ready to return it after my boyfriend said it wouldn't work, when I decided I should take a look at it and ACTUALLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Sure enough, I figured it out. I dont know what men have against instruction, ego? Curious. Personally I would think failure and being out started by a woman in installation, would be more of a boon to the male ego, but apparently not. The lights look fantastic and now we have more than enough light in the kitchen.

Easy installation

Replaced the two bulb dome fixture that came with the light. Four lights with globes transforms the room. Fixture looks like it has always been there. The electrical connectors plugged right into the existing fan. Took the advice of previous reviews and bought 6-32 1 1/2" long machine screws to attach to the fan housing. The supplied screws were too short. Came with four LED bulbs (40 watt equivalent) that worked well. Does not come with globes so I picked some up at Home Depot. They have many styles to choose from. My only regret is that I didn't install this earlier. I have been living in a cave for ten years.

I made this work, but it did NOT fit my very old model 22568.

The connection box on my fan is about 4 inches in diameter. The box on the the 99143 is closer to 3 inches. It was not a bolt-on fix. The way I made it work was to remove the sockets from the 99143 I just bought and install three of them in my old fixture, replacing the candelabra sockets that had all failed. Now it works just fine. I imagine this approach would not work for many buyers who were hoping for a simpler approach. The 99143 model says it fits 2XXXXX Hunter models. Yep, not 2XXXX models apparently. I am told that Hunter customer service is very good with this kind of issue. I probably should have consulted them first.

Excellent quality, not easy to install

4 Star rating because of the screw issue described below. The unit is excellent build, matches perfectly and fits the old light mounting fixture. To install, the old fixture must be partially disassembled in order to attach the new fixture. As many, many other reviews have mentioned, THE SCREWS ARE TOO SHORT. NOT SURE WHY HUNTER CAN’T FIX THIS ISSUE BY SENDING LONGER SCREWS!!! Great replacement, but be prepared to get longer screws.
