In love!

A hotel we stayed at in Innsbruck had these installed in their bathroom, and let me tell you, the powder rain was a revelation. My husband and I said, "immediately yes" and went straight to Amazon. Not even 2 weeks later we (very easily and quickly) installed it in our bathroom. Game changer. Each tiny nozzle actually produces THREE separate streams of water, which is why it feels so soft. I personally find that despite feeling so cloudy and light, it actually rinses out shampoo better than a regular shower head because of that nozzle design. It's difficult to explain, but the distribution of water is much denser and more uniform than a standard head, which makes it almost like rinsing your hair in a bathtub full of water. Is it expensive? Yes. But it is also beautiful, thoughtful, and high quality design of a product that you will use every single day, so if you can swing it, go for it :)

Don’t trust plumbing stores

We recently renovated our master bathroom and unfortunately, our contractor threw out our handheld shower head, so I needed to get a new one. I came across this on Amazon and immediately felt like an idiot, because it performed so great, looks great and was a great price. It was priced meaningfully cheaper than the stuff our plumbing vendor was shoving down our throat and I wish I looked/trusted some of the products on here earlier before getting stuck blowing money on California faucet and kohler stuff.

Wanted to love it so bad

The marketing and visuals definitely got to me, "Powder Rain" they call it, and it seemed incredibly amazing and calming in the ads. At first it truly was a feat of cool engineering. nozzles are extra tiny and with enough water pressure it becomes a controlled tiny droplet of water. It even sounded different when it hit the shower floor. It is very very soft on your body. Unfortunately that was my issue. I would love this spray pattern for times when I want to feel like wrapping my body head to toe in soft rain clouds, but for daily use, it is simply too soft. It took longer to rub soap out of my body and there just wasn't enough pressure to really get good cleaning done. I would probably get the wall mounted bigger version of this along with a separate stronger hand held shower head to use daily. Also by the second week, the cool sensation of Powder Rain quickly faded and it just felt like someone spraying you with a spray bottle. It wasn't worth the price tag, but the product itself is very premium and beautifully designed.

Rainfall

After the normal warm shower, I switch it over to the Rainfall function, and lower the temperature until it begins to feel cool. It comes out so soft I can barely feel it, making it easy to turn it down cooler. The cooling invigorates my skin, and that feeling lasts the entire day.

Good Hand Held Shower Head

Good product from Hansgrohe. Too bad my house only has medium water pressure and flow. It still works OK, but not as well as in the showroom. It still a great improvement over my old handheld shower head.

Elegant and expensive...

An elegant handheld shower head from hansgrohe, this is also a very expensive bathroom fixture. hansgrohe (sic, no capitalization of the '"h") is a German designer and manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom fixtures. hansgrohe design and manufacture are at the top end of the fixture spectrum. hansgrohe was recently purchased by the American building products conglomerate, Masco Corporation, joining a stable of Masco-owned fixture manufacturers that includes Peerless, Delta and Brizo. Warranty on hansgrohe is for the lifetime of the original owner, and hansgrohe's customer service is on a par with Delta's excellent customer service. This is a beautiful shower head. The finish is silky smooth and elegant. The handle and head are solid metal. The spray nozzles are easily-cleaned silicone. Three spray patterns can be chosen between by the press of a button on the handle. Design and function are smoothly precise. Spray patterns are wide, slightly narrower and more intense, and a very focused and intense stream. OK. If you can afford this, it's a classic fixture. But I am at times amazed at the relative cost of items sold by fixture manufacturers. For instance, the hansgrohe rough-in box has huge amounts of machining and metal and is an extremely sophisticated piece of engineering, but it costs comparatively little--less than half the price of this shower head. So I don't get it. But this is a beautiful piece. If I had to economize, I would get the hansgrohe rough-in box. I want the best quality in the wall where I never have to worry about it breaking. I'll take a cheap easily replaceable shower head any day over a cheap rough-in box or trim set and valve. But if I can have them both, I'll take it all. This is a beautiful shower head if you can afford it.

Awesome

I only recently discovered that all shower heads are not necessarily equal. For the last few months I've been using an incredible (and incredibly expensive) Moen head in my master bathroom, and after learning that the design of the head makes a huuuuuuge difference in water flow I decided to give hansgrohe a shot for my guest bathroom. I'm impressed. The select button just beneath the head is a good design feature, and a little easier to use than the rear mounted switches on my oversized Moen head. It's good that there are only three modes, though. Any more than that and it would be tiresome to have to cycle through them all with a single button. The water pressure at my place is a little on the weedy side, and I'd suggest that for the Monorain function you really need strong pressure. It doesn't do much for me, but the Intense PowderRain setting is just right, Good coverage, and a strong enough flow to blast away suds with ease.
