Helps Create a More Confident Dog

I use these collars in my dog training businesss for dogs who are needing a little more structure in the learning process. I like that they are not a strongly pointed as a traditional prong collar and work well on more sensitive dogs. They allow the dog to figure out a pressure and release reward system quickly, painlessly and effectively - leading to the weening off of the tool into a flat collar.

Great for taking on and off quickly

I bought these because my puppy developed strong little stocky shoulders at around 6 months old and started yanking me around, I knew I was going to get hurt if I didn’t invest in something while leash training her. Metal prongs felt too aggressive to me, especially on a baby animal, so I found this product and bought two, one for my puppy and one for my older dog, who is already pretty good on leash, except in the fall when leaves are flying around, then she likes to surprise me by yanking. I really like this product. My puppy still pulls a lot, but I just need to do more leash training, that’s a work in progress. The surprise benefit I discovered with this product is when I pick the dogs up from daycare: at daycare no one wears collars, and at the end of the day after daycare, trying to get two dogs back into their collars (I use martingales so I have to slip them on over their heads versus just buckling) can be difficult because they are so excited about their day and about seeing me and going home. Having these prong collars that I keep clipped to my leashes, all I have to do is just clip around my dogs’ necks in one quick motion, it’s so much faster and prevents them from getting too worked up in the lobby of daycare. My puppy gets kind of aggressive around doors, I don’t want to stand there fumbling with collars letting her nip at my older dog and the faster I can move on to another area the better!

Awesome metal prong alternative

I got this for my Siberian husky, at first i had a harness on her the only thing missing was the sled bcoz she pulled like a freight train. Instantly after going for our first walk on this collar there was an immediate difference. I chose this type over the metal and glad I did! when it’s used correctly there’s no way this is breaking and you should always use the safety collar that comes with it in the very rare occasion it wasn’t attached properly and separate you will still have a collar hooked up. The collar must be sized correctly for your dog as well that means taking out or adding links (it shouldn’t be loose so your dog can chew it) also you probably should stay around your yard before venturing off on long walks until your comfortable . I swear by this collar, walks were miserable now they are nice! She finally walks like a good girl No ripping my shoulders out of socket, no more dragging me around a must have for dogs that pull hard! If you have a difficult dog then you may need the training collar on during your walks as well. Mine i didn’t need the training collars when this is on she responds just as she should, this collar will bring you & your pet closer bcoz finally you can go for a normal walk.

It does work for the most part

I have a husky/corgi mix so her neck size it like a skinny less fluffy but a little taller than a Shiba. So medium size. I had to remove 3 links. First it was difficult to remove til you get the hang of it. Then I had trouble putting it back together. Helps to start with one side and push it in. My dog gets skittish so she pulls very hard. It annoys me and even an e collar doesn't work on her. But this works really well. I would get a smaller one if there was one.

For the dog that pulls

Works as described. Sturdy collar that doesn’t hurt your pet like a collar with ‘spikes’ would. However I’m not convinced that a proper harness is a better option

life saver

i have a pit mix who overpowered me on walks. it got dangerous when he would pull me down icy steps. this collar was perfect because it did not hurt him at all, I kept it relatively loose. It did not look scary, intimidating or like I was abusive. it made it easier to leash train and he would not pull. after a while we switched to a harness

Este collar me gusta más que los anti tirones metálicos por qué es menos dañino para el animal, está hecho de triángulos de plástico que si el perro tira se los clava, pero si no tira se queda bastante holgado. estaría bien que llevara un mosquetón de abrir y cerrar para no tener que metérselo al perro por la cabeza pero la función de adiestramiento la cumple

This is the second StarMark that I have purchased and it works as well as the previous one. I use it on my 75lb lab x pointer. He is responsive to it and it is only used when I walk him. He is trained and does very well off leash, he just pulls a bit too much and does not respond at all to correction on other colars. I used one when I was training him with commands for the same reason. It is a great teaching tool for hardheaded or bossy dogs who simply say “go F yourself” to most collars.

Sizing is way off, this is not large at all.

Ok so just received this and was very disappointed by sizing. I got the large and ordered the extra 3 link package and it still won't fit my 6 mths 90 lbs Presa pup. I get that I have a large dog but it's a large and unordered extra links. I am going to buy yet another extra 3 link package but it's an Amazon add on item so I have to order $25 worth of other things just to be able to pay for the extra links and have them shipped .... Very disappointing. Amended tried to return item and it's not eligible for return ... Terrible waste of money.

Great training tool that is less invasive than your metal prong collar

This collar is a great training tool, and is much less invasive than your typical metal prong collar. It is just as effective as a metal prong, and also is less visible to those who like to judge others for their training tool choices. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who's dog is pulling on leash or has behavioral problems. ***Just be sure that when you use it, you make sure it is tight enough to stay right up on the top of their neck behind their ears for the most control, effectiveness and least amount of pressure on the trachea.

Happy Dog Owners!

I was hoping for some control over my dog pulling on the leash while we walk, yanking me to get to a person with treats and going crazy on the leash when she sees something she wants to chase like wildlife or a cat on a harness or in a yard, no treat will stop this wild behavior. I put this collar on and it was amazing right from the start. I have been using it for 2 weeks and she will now sit and wait beside me till the person with treats walks up to us, so nice! My husband has said how nice it is to walk her now. I gave her time to train this kind of behavior out of her , but it did not work. Thank you for making this product! I love it!!
