Amazing cast iron baking dish

This pan is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a cake-size cast iron to make Detroit-style pizza. This is perfect. It shipped quickly and in good packaging, it is heavy as it should be. I got the pre-seasoned black dish and I opted to season it even tho it came pre-seasoned. I have no regrets, this dish is beautiful and perfect. I read the description and it matches exactly, the measurements are spot on. I’m glad I found one of these for relatively cheap, too. Highly recommend for pizza.

A beautiful lasagne pan to rival all the best

Excellent indeed. The color and finish are perfect and it is heavy enough to retain heat whilst serving. The handles are also large enough to pick up with a an oven bit... Delivery was exactly as said, fast and on time. Highly recommend.

So great

I use these bowls for so many things now, even beyond soup. They're such a good size -- holds a lot without being weirdly huge or anything, and deep so you can stir without spilling -- and the handles make them so easy to carry and handle. Stylish and durable too. Great purchase.

Big Bowl for French Onion Soup

These arrived very well packed. The main reason I got them was it was only 2 bowls. If I could've found just one that I liked, I'd rather have gotten that, but everything is a set. I ordered it in gradient gray, but it was more a subdued teal gray, which I liked more. I didn't like that it says oven safe to 325, because french onion soup needs to be broiled. I've done that twice so far with no problems, but I am leery when broiling, and put a catch all pan under it just in case. I didn't like the little open hole in the underside of the handle, as I could see water getting in there, and never getting out. I immediately glued the hole with titebond wood glue. I hope it lasts. And last, these bowls are huge. I didn't realize how much they would hold. If I get new ones, they'll be no bigger than 16 oz., not 22. Pretty attractive though, all in all.

Enamel is chipped!

I should have read reviews prior to purchasing, as there are so many people complaining about chipped enamel. Other than the chip, it is a good solid pan. I'll keep it because it was pretty cheap but will probably end up buying something better. You get what you pay for.

Nonstick Is a Relative Concept

First, the specifics: The color of this pan is quite a bit darker than the pictures. It is not turquoise. It's teal. It exactly matches a tramontina dutch oven I bought a few years ago. Exactly. (That pot is holding up great, btw.) First use was for tetrazzini - cooked evenly, cleaned fairly easily by boiling vinegar and water in it and letting it soak until the water cooled, and still looks new. Now the general stuff: Enameled cast iron is not nonstick in the way that thermalon is or the way that teflon is. But as long as it isn't enameled with lead (which is why I usually buy expensive stuff), it is more nonstick than bare stainless steel. It's about the same as well-seasoned cast iron. Unless it's the rough gray enamel, in which case, it's not nonstick at all. This is a surprisingly inexpensive name brand lasagna pan. It's the white smooth enamel. It's not going to release everything or clean up with a quick sponge wipe. Best practice is to soak and wipe. Don't use harsh cleansers or scrubbers. Other best practice is try not to burn the &*&* out of it. It will cook evenly and efficiently. It won't warp for anything. It may chip -> even the more expensive pans will. But again, as long as you've bought something well sourced, it won't hurt you. Rust won't hurt you, either. It's iron. Wash it off. Dry it thoroughly. It may stain. This also won't hurt you. The super expensive brands also chip and stain. When you've paid a few hundred bucks for one of them? Now that will hurt you.

Love this dish! Arrived early :) The color is beautiful, the size is perfect for a family lasanga, long and deep. Cooking is nice and even, heat retention is great! Very easy to clean with dish soap and warm water. Impressed with the quality of this dish for such a great price... will be using it often.

Sticky residue that doesn’t come off

DO NOT BUY... having used this once I went to clean it and, after seasoning it (alongside another cast iron Pan) there was mass of sticky residue. Having now scrubbed with different cleaning products and ruined a pair of rubber gloves the residue is still clear to see. Really angry that Amazon would endorse such a faulty product

Saved thanksgiving!

Excellent dish, heavy, durable ... clean up was a breeze, did an entire turkey roll followed up with a sirloin roast the next day. Would buy again, makes a great gift as well!

Good Product

I have tried other cast iron Lasagna pans and they were either too big or too small and were difficult to clean. This pan is a perfect size and nothing stuck to the pan. I would buy another.
