Worked, but beware of part changes
All parts websites, including the check on Amazon listed this as fitting my specific model GE dishwasher. After opening the package, however, I noticed the new solenoid did not have the same mounting bracket as the one on the dishwasher. If you need the solenoid with the long bracket to the side with two holes for screwing to the pump housing, this is not the right one. I was able to make it work by opening up the mounting bracket and moving the new solenoid to the old bracket, but if you do this, be careful not to damage the plastic housing around the coil.

Fit my older GE dishwasher
The media could not be loaded. Realized my 25 year old dishwasher was leaking by accident. Took the front plate off the bottom and manually went through each cycle to see where the leak was coming from because after replacing the door gasket and corner baffles, that wasn’t the problem. Thought it was just the solenoid so I replaced it and thought I solved the problem, but it was actually the Drain Pump Valve Shaft Seal and Push-on Nut that is on the shaft that the solenoid attaches to. Which is a nightmare to replace because the old nut has to be cut off. Thank you Oprah for these small hands. After all of that, I now consider myself an uncertified geriatric GE dishwasher repair woman. The new solenoid is quite a bit louder, but hey, it works. I don’t have to buy a new dishwasher or be the dishwasher for the time being.
