Very nice French wire

Oddly enough, the silver French wire came in a little snap case, which helps immensely to keep it contained. The gold French wire doesn’t have a case. I cut a corner of the package to let out a little at a time, but would have liked the case, as I only use a little at a time.

Flawless service - great product.

This particular brand of French Wire is sturdier than most, so it holds up well and you need less, because you can use shorter pieces.

Sent wrong color, ordered gold recieved silver.

I would give this 5 stars except it's not gold colored but silver and I'm not paying to return it. Otherwise great product wrong color. Maybe look more closely

24 July 2022 I did a DIY restring of my wife's Pearl necklace. It originally was strung using silk thread. I used 19-strand .018"/0.46 mm stringing wire because it is so much stronger than silk thread. But I did not want the wire to be seen where I crimped the crimp tubes next to the safety clasps. This French Wire is .024"/.60 mm. It fits perfectly over the .018" stringing wire and does a perfect job of hiding the non-gold colored stringing wire. Here is a hint about cutting French Wire. Before cutting, thread a piece of stringing wire inside of the French Wire. Then cut both the French Wire and the stringing wire at the same time. This prevents the cut end of the French wire from collapsing. Cutting the French Wire without a piece of stringing wire inside of it makes it very difficult to thread the stringing wire inside of the French wire. The best thing...wife is happy happy.
