Threads coming lose after a few washes

I loved the thickness and softness of these socks and was going to order more, but only after a few washes, the threads are already coming loose.

I've just purchased my second and third pairs of these socks. I work with horses so am on my feet all day, wearing soft or hard boots, and I take my dogs on long walks while wearing sneakers or hiking shoes. These socks adapt with me to each shoe and each activity. They are by far the most comfortable socks I have ever had and I have tried a zillion because I am prone to blisters and rubs here and there, but that does not happen with the Fox River socks, at least not with this style. I wear a 10 Narrow shoe and the size Large fits well and I think would fit a size 11 or 12 also. I see there are many different styles of Fox River out there, but the high microfiber, with nylon and a little spandex thrown in is what has worked for me through all Virginia seasons. Turn inside out to wash and dry on low. MADE N AMERICA.

My new favorite socks!

These are my new favorite socks! I came to Amazon looking for a particular style of Gold Toe socks, and stumbled across these. The reviews were impressive, so I decided to give them a try. They don't have annoying toe seams, which is one of my pet peeves. They also hug and support my arches, and stay pulled up all day. They do leave marked on my legs, because they fit snugly, but I never feel like they are cutting off circulation. They are very comfortable and warm. They are just a little thick under my dressier work shoes, so I plan to see what other styles this brand offers. They are perfect under clogs, boots, and casual shoes. I have not worn them in warm weather yet, so can't vouch for how hot your feet might get.

Long lasting athletic sock

These socks are cushioned on the bottom and on top of the foot under where the shoelaces sit. Because of the padding, you probably won't be able to wear these with dress shoes or non-athletic footwear. The toe seam is NOT seamless, but it rarely bothers me. The crew tops stay up, and the sock is comfortable in a pair of walking shoes. I find them to be long lasting. These can be machine washed and dried. Very good everyday sock if you wear athletic shoes. The older I get, the more I appreciate the padding.

Good Quality Socks

I really like these socks, they feel soft & well made. I took off a star as I expected the bottom of the sock to be thicker, like the ones I bought years a ago, & because I think they are priced a little high. They ARE a good sock, they seem to be well made, my last couple of pairs lasted for years but they did have more of a cushion for the bottom of my foot, not sure if that had any bearing on the life of the socks. Highly Recommended.

I found the compression to be fine. The top of the sock hits right below ...

I needed medium thick socks to wear with my slightly loose clogs for waitering. I have thinner feet and ankles but huge calves. I found the compression to be fine. The top of the sock hits right below my calf, and although not too tight, they do leave a line in my skin like most other socks. The thickness is good and helps when I'm on my feet for many hours. I need all black and these fit the bill. The only issue which is cosmetic and does not affect function at all is that they wash weird. New they are nice and black. After washing they look used, worn and linty.

WEARS LIKE IRON

A good sock that will keep your feet nice and warm. I doesn't get holes in the toe area either. This is a fairly heavy sock even though it says it is light. It works well with a little looser fitting shoe or boot. It is too thick to wear with my regular shoes.

Smooth Fit and Extra Cushioning for Sensitive Feet

I love these socks! They have a smooth fit... so not wrinkles to annoy your feet in your shoes. There is extra cushion on the top of the arch and on the bottom, which feels good to my sensitive feet. (I have mild peripheral neuropathy.) They are good quality and hold up well. I think my older pairs are at least four or five years old.

BEST hiking socks ever!

I love these socks. I took them on a 5-day hiking trip and could have worn them every day (I did at least 3). They seemed clean after all-day hikes, and never smelled! Comfortable (not too hot or too cold), durable and breathable. I wouldn't call them "lightweight" - maybe medium weight. Highly recommend. I will likely get another pair for my next hiking trip, if it's longer than 4 days ;)
