Used With 16' Tape

Update 2019: When I first gave this review, it never occurred to me that some folks may use this as simply a tape cover, and still clip to their belts just like they would clip their tape without this cover. I give this product a five-star rating based on using it for its intended purpose of securely attaching your tape to your harness when working at height. If I'm going to simply clip this to my belt, then I'm probably not going to buy this cover to accomplish that. This measure holder paired with one of Ergodyne's squids (I use the 3130m orange coiled squid with this) works exceptionally well to secure your tape when you work in the air. The holder is robust, and holds the tape absolutely secure, and the coiled squid allows me to unclip the holder without disconnecting it from my harness. I'm really growing to rely on this brand.

Weak Belt Clip

Belt clip is weak. Needs to be heavier metal so it won't bend out of shape.

It definitely does the job.

This product is great!!!. But the stitches were not done by a professional. They looked like they were done by a poor person from a third world country. I mean seriously where is the quality control person on this product. They dropped the ball on that part. But i had mine stolen along with my tape measure. So i will be buying another really soon.

good setup

so far so good it hangs on my toolbelt everyday in oil refinery conditions. getting tossed smashed and beat up daily stitching is holding up well and velcro has not opened the hook for hanging is still in tact

Haven't dropped a tape since I got this.....

I work on skyscrapers and and other tall buildings so this tape trap works great for me on a daily basis.

Good Tape measure holder

Sturdy tape measure holder the clips kinna weak but it seems sturdy enough though

Bad belt clip

The belt clip get really loose fast but it's better than the one that was on my Milwaukee tape measure.

It's okay

Good quality product but measuring tape needs to be very large to fit nicely. Small or medium size tapes are too loose and flop around inside too much. So I had to go buy the most chunky tape I could find. But it works really well.

Love the product and love all your products. My one “BAD” thing about this is the belt clip. It’s very flimsy and doesn’t hold onto anything. Would like to see a strong more ridged one installed.
