Does the job

Not bad, kept it- made out of plastic

Had a ceiling fan installed a long time ago but there was always a ring of paint from the old light fixture and needed something to cover it up. This worked. Was a little disappointed that I moss read the info and it was but honestly once up know one can tell. I would recommend it since the process is good.

Looks great

Product looks great, but, it’s very thin. The outer edges will not hold up on its own. You will have to caulk around the edge then tape it to the ceiling until it dries. At that point it’s a nice product with a good finish

It’s to thin

I don’t like the fact that the product is very thin and does not sit evenly on the ceiling. I had to caulk all around in order for it to work like it should have.

Lazy, flawed design

These are manufactured in a very foolish manner. As others have pointed out, they are stamped out of thin plastic. But that would be fine if they simply included a lip around the bottom of the outer edge that could be glued to the ceiling. Instead, the medallion is is attached to the ceiling on the flat part in the center, and everything beyond that is completely hollow. This means the outer edges are just kind of suspended, and have a strong tendency not to lie flat against the ceiling because the material is so very thin. There are likely to be gaps along at least some of the edges. And it's almost impossible to caulk the openings because the edge of the medallion is so thin that there is really nothing for the caulk to adhere to. Again, all they need to do is design is so that there is a flat edge along the outer perimeter that can be affixed to the ceiling. It's just a very lazy way to construct these things. And you'd think after receiving so many complaints about this very issue, they'd do something about it. I suppose it would cost them more to manufacture this way, but honestly I'd gladly pay a little more for a product that installs more successfully. My strong advice is to buy one of the urethane ones that are solid and have a full flat bottom. The only reason I didn't was because I liked the design of the PVC one better. But if I had it to do over again, I wouldn't bother with the PVC ones because of this major design flaw.

Ok, but very thin plastic

Nice in all respects except the plastic is too thin. Not acceptable for a good-quality renovation.

Flimsy but ok for the price

It's a rather flimsy piece of plastic but works. Not a great option for installing onto a concrete ceiling since the edge is neat impossible to glue on. I had to use construction adhesive in the middle and do my best with some on the outside and filling the gaps in with caulking. Once installed, fully painted and touched up it looks pretty good though.

Garbage. Shame on the manufacturer.

Overpriced piece of junk. Those disposable plastic plates you buy at the dollar store are better made and sturdier. It can’t remain stable and flat on a ceiling. There’s no way to secure it. Its very thin plastic the same as a solo cup. I opened the box and immediately sent it back for a refund. Do not buy.

You get what you pay fir

I was surprised that they were very thin plastic forms, others I bought were ar least foam filled. You get what you pay for. They did serve the purpose though.
