Ecco surprised me again. I bought 2 of this exact same sandal in the exact same color and size. I wanted one to keep nice and one to wear around my tile floored house because it's super comfortable especially for my plantar fascitis. Well, Ecco made a manufacturing change to this product so that one pair fits me perfectly and the other one's strap cuts into the outer side of my foot. I took a photo of each, both framed by the outer edges of the straps. This is looking at the 2 crisscrossing straps on the outer foot front area. The perfect fit sandal's gap distance between the crisscrossed straps is 21mm while on the cutting strap one it's 33mm. Quite a difference that made all the difference to me. This is a solid 5 star sandal for the one that fits me so I gave it 4 stars due to the other pair not fitting the same. I returned the one pair because the strap angle caused one side of the strap to cut into my foot. Updated Review Feb 2022: Just bought another pair of these while the price was temporarily lower. Maybe 2 years after my initial purchases. This time, the adjustable straps are much shorter than on my previous pairs. Maybe cost cutting. So a lot of Velcro is now exposed as the lower Velcro piece wasn’t shortened to better match up with the now shorter overlapping strap. In addition, while the leather quality is generally the same, the leather pieces don’t match each as well. Some are a bit crinkley while others are smooth.

The footbed of this sandal is great, but to get them on my feet I have to expand the straps so much that about 1" of velcro sticks out on each one - and it's the sharper side of the velcro, which will catch on *everything*, so they're getting returned. I'd love to keep them if the straps were larger or the velcro were placed differently, but the current configuration is just a recipe for disaster (plus it just doesn't look very nice to have all that velcro sticking out). These may be great for people with extra narrow feet or low arches.

Nice light weight sandal. Love the color and fit but was too short. Can wear some shoes listed 11.5 but not this one.
