A bit snug, iffy tread

I have mixed feelings about these boots. First of all, these aren’t “rugged”. I’d consider them street boots. They are light weight which is nice, though. The tread offers little grip in wet conditions, beware. The Grey is a unique color which is why I bought them. My biggest gripe? They are a small 12. They’re the smallest size 12 boots I’ve ever owned. I hope they break in.

Light duty summertime boot

I got these for working around the yard during the dry months. Not water resistant and not a true work boot. The wedge sole is comfortable and easier to clean off than my heavy lug sole boots, but they are slippery. The collar is not padded, I would not want to wear them on a jobsite. But I am perfectly comfortable in them all day doing light chores around the property. And I can just dust them off and go out to dinner, for now. We’ll see in a few months how badly they scuff. Happy with the purchase for under a hundred bucks.

Excellent Redwings imposters...

As the time of this writing, the Redwings 6-inch moc-toe boot is all the rage. If you're getting these strictly for style, these are virtually identical to the Redwings as far as the look, and for a third of the price. My issue with the Redwings is the close to $300 price tag (which I can afford but can't stomach) and the fact that they take 2-4 months to break in, which I don't have the patience or wherewithal for. They're also a heavy boot. These Eastland boots are well made, comfortable, affordable, true to size, and there's minimal break in. It's a soft leather that's comfortable right out of the box. They look fantastic with jeans or khakis, especially with a slim or tapered leg opening. You'll lose out on the aesthetics with "Dad jeans." Again, if wearing strictly as a casual boot for style, this is a great bet. For actual construction work or the like, Redwings might be a better choice.

Great boots!

Great looking and comfortable right out of the box. Comfort gets even better as you break them in. Size was exactly as I was expecting.

Solid entry level boot

Good looking. The gray color is the most versitile color boot I've ever owned. looks good with black colors as well as brown. Uppers hold up pretty well but soles tend to wear quickly. Admittedly I'm tough on soles but these didn't make it a year before they were completely slick on the bottom. Ordered another pair and for less than $75 on sale I can afford to buy a pair each year. If you need real work boots spend a little more and get Throrogoods or Red Wings but if you need a solid good looking fashion or office boot, these are a winner.

Extremely light!

Didn't take long to break these in, as a new student at 51 I do a lot of walking, they're comfortable and time will tell on durability, I'm used to expensive boots for work and at the cost these feel as good or better than some of the better known brands... I'll purchase again when needed! Update: been wearing these almost every day since I've bought them, wearing in nicely and as or more comfortable than my other shoes (sneakers)... abot to by my kid some but at 16 i think his feets still growing, definately going to buy again, only downfall was i wanted actual blue leather, these are darker, almost black in low light but completely satisfied!

comfy, look good fit very well. i waterproofed mine with tarrago protector and they clean easily and still look great after some woodland walks and weekly use
