Broken Wing

It is a beautiful angel but received mine with a broken wing! I kept it and fled the wing back on instead of going through the hassle of returning it. I was so upset because I was looking forward to receiving my angel in pristine condition like I always have with my previously purchased DT angels. I purchased this one in memory of my son’s passing three years ago.

An Innocent cherub landing on the corner of my English garden

This is really well-made piece of art. I wanted to have conceptual cherubs in my English garden showing their mental growth on this part of the planet. I purchased "the weeping angel" and set it on the other corner of my garden. The original sculpture is in cathédrale d’Amiens and its copy in the Montparnasse Cemetery. This one has been modified a little bit but has its own sprit. Anyway, I put those two at each end and shows their growth in the garden. The product is good enough but I would made the surface a little more rough to show its reality. I am aging now to make it more real.

Gorgeous artistry and well made statue

Love the size of this statue. It is true to size. The craftsmanship of this angel boy is really stunning. Can work well outdoors in the garden or indoors as well. I chose to keep it indoors because I love looking at it every day. This statue will not disappoint. It came well packaged and was in perfect condition. Very happy with this purchase.

Front heavy and tips easily

Very top/front heavy and tips very easily. The color is rather flat so I’ll paint and antique him myself. Beautiful shape. Very sweet

Color is Way Off and He Can't Sit.

3rd time buying this particular design of Angel after the contractors who came to work at my house broke the previous two. This time, the Angel is so much yellowish to the extent that he's no longer cute. He's also very light weight, which is NOT a good attribute in this case. I tried to put him on a thick artificial turf in an enclosed patio area this time in order to save him. This particular Angel can't sit, but keeps falling forward. Unlike the previous two who were sturdy and sat stabily. I caught him every time. Then, I found out his right arm was already fractured underneath (long cracking line). The packaging by Design Toscano is always very secured, including this time. The box was not damaged. I have bought more than a dozen of Design Toscano's angels over the past year. I am very careful while unboxing the statues because they are important to me. I'm disappointed and don't know what happened. Reluctant to place another order for the 4th one.

As other reviews have commented he is a little top heavy - mine is nowhere near anything hard just incase he topples over! But I have to say he is the most beautiful cherub I have ever bought. Wonderful expression and facial features, I absolutely adore him and was intending to display him in the home - just couldnt bear him falling over and landing on my floor ( or, worse still, my dog!!) He looks amazing in the garden though. A very fine piece indeed.

''Life's Mysteries'' turned up very quickly. My review may take a little longer. He is very sweet and certainly has a character. I wanted him to go in the garden but October is not the right time, so he may have to spend winter in the shed. He is rather top heavy, he is fine on a flat surface but tends to fall forward, so give him a solid base where you plan you put him please. The finish is ok I suppose, It's meant to go in the garden so nobody will notice the blemishes. And this is becoming a thing of mine in reviews: 'You get what you pay for'. I paid £40, more than happy.

Beautiful

Just loved this Angel so much I ordered a 2nd one for a friend. 2nd one came with a broken wing I managed to glue it back on rather then returning and retouch the join with paint, he's top heavy so I painted a wooden chopping board and glued him down with E6000 glue ,now he's more sturdy.

A beautiful statue!

Absolutely love this statue! I painted and waxed it to give it a more weathered appearance which is effective. Some people have thought it is made of stone!
