Better than Expected!
Having an all black dog is a challenge. I would trip over Jack out feeding the animals on the farm. This colar is think. The buckel is very sturdy, no slipping even when grabbed by the other dogs. It glows ever if it hasn't been in light. I live in western WA, some days don't see sun. I highly recommend this colar.

Second One In 8 Years
We bought one for our all black dog about eight years ago, and it finally broke. We put it on at night, and take it off in the morning. It’s a little different now than it was eight years ago, but still works the same. The collar does seem a little thick for the clasp, so it is very difficult to close. We cut the collar to the right length and then we shaved off about 1 mm of its thickness at the end. The clasp closes easily now. The glow in the dark is perfect in our dark bedroom. I can always find him! No tripping or stepping on him.

No more stepping on the dog at night!
I picked this collar because it didn't require batteries which might leak, malfunction, or otherwise injure the dog. Because he sleeps just about anywhere he wants, when we get up in the dark, we never knew where he might be, and have stepped or almost stepped on him several times. He is a shepherd/rottweiler, and is black and unfindable in the dark! This collar is great because it helps us locate him without turning the lights on. I feel much better about my potty trips at night now, because I know he will be safe.

Works kinda well... buckle broke when removed...
It appears strong enough, but our pup is gentle when on leash. It appears brighter when he comes in from outside than when he goes out from house lights. He's nice and bright after coming in from playing during the day. The collar barely glows when I take him out after dark. We live in an area with no light pollution so it's pitch black after dark. I can still see him - but not very bright. So - this product works - but isn't as bright as I'd like. It's MUCH better than the "glow in the dark" paracord I initially tried so I'm keeping this one. Updated review - We've had this collar for a while now. It worked well. Our pup was always secure, but he's not an aggressive puller when on leash or tied outside. The collar is temporarily bright when he comes in out of the sun, but not as bright when he goes outside from the lit house (THAT's when it needs to be brightest!). Im updating this review because we took the collar off last night and the pin holding the closure broke. See the photo. This is the second time we took it off! The collar is now unusable. We've got to out the old choke collar on him until I can order another. It won't be a FurEver collar...

good, but limited use
Got this one about a week ago. Had tried some of the less expensive LED types and they either fell apart, or would turn off when our dog starts running. This is a pretty well made collar. Probably the best of the glow collars. I wasn't sure about how far out you can see the light, and there is a problem if the dog goes much beyond 50 feet or so. This collar is really made for a dog that stays pretty close to the owner, or best for a dog inside so you don't step on them at night. For a collar that you can track the dog when they are out romping free in the dark, this is not the one to get. Another thing is if your dog jogs out ahead of you, their body hides the collar. The dog has to turn sideways for you to see the glow. The newer technology of the glow material is much better than the old stuff. It's also waterproof so that really helps in my part of the country. It's a good product, just some limitations for what I want to use it for.

Meets our need.
Bought this to help avoid stepping on the black dog at night in our bedroom. As you should expect, it starts bright and then dims - just like any glow in the dark product. We find that at 5-6am, there is enough glow in a dark room to still be able to see/avoid the dog. This meets our needs. We use this in addition to his normal collar. We have a puller during walks, and the collar clasp doesn't look like it would hold the leash vs a strong puller during walks. It doesn't look all that strong, but I can't say for sure. Having 2 collars doesn't bother the dog. Easy to adjust the length.

I Wish I had not waited so long to purchase FurEver Brite Dog collar. We have two pure black standard poodles. These collars make finding them in the back yard at night so easy. No more trying to find stealth ninja dogs hiding in the dark shadows of our fenced in back yard. Our two poodles sleep in our bedroom on our black carpets, black on black they may as well be camouflaged, again stealth ninja dogs lol. Honestly I can not ever count the number of times we have tripped over them in the middle of the night. Now with the collars we know where they are on the carpet and can step around them. The infomercial is 100% on the money as to how well these collars work. They absorb light from any source but I can tell you sunlight is the best and gives the collars the strongest glow.

Hard to release
Wish the collar was a snap kind. I find it hard to open. I need to pry it open with a screwdriver in order to remove it.

Best purchase ever
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I was forever tripping over our dog at night and now can see where she is! Best invention ever - would fully buy again and highly recommend!
