I ordered this pretty coat in a size two or three up from mine because that's what was available and because I wanted something I could wear over sweaters, sweatshirts, lighter jackets, fleece-lined sweatpants, and anything else I wanted to wear. Last year's arctic freeze was hard on us, and I did stay warm, but if there's another one I'm coming back at it with everything I have, including half my clothes under this coat. This is a pretty coat, simple, with clean lines and very nice quilted 100% polyester fabric. I got this in eggshell white, and it's a beautiful color. The coat has a two-way zipper with special instructions in the listing about how to use it, and it's machine washable. I would air dry or line dry this and then fluff it up in the dryer for a few minutes. I wish I could have ordered a smaller size, but that wasn't available, and I can wear half of everything I own under this coat. It does run large, so you'll have to take that into consideration when ordering. If I had known it ran so large, I would've gone down to the smaller size than mine, but this is just fine for what I wanted. I want to wrap up and stay that way in case it ever gets as cold as it did last year again. This is also an excellent coat for putting on quickly at the door while your dog, who wants to go out NOW, barks at you. The coat is well made and allows for easy arm movement, bending, etc., but it would be better if the coat didn't run large. The sleeves have elastic cuffs to keep the heat in, and there's a panel of fabric with snaps all down the front covering the zipper. There are two deep pockets that should hold everything you might need, but there are no zippers or snaps on the pockets. Very good product, a basic, simple coat that comes in a wide variety of sizes and colors. It does run large, a fact I wish I had had when I ordered this in such a large size, but I ordered this specifically in case of another arctic freeze, when I plan to wear half my clothes under it, so this serves my purpose well. The coat is simple and has all the standard features - elastic cuffs, a panel of fabric with snaps over the two-way zipper, and good sized pockets that don't have a zipper or snap. This is a good, simple coat, something you can throw over your PJs in the morning, possibly with another jacket under this coat, and take your dog out in relative comfort. I do wish it had a hood, but it's warm and snuggly. I would advise anyone who wants to order this coat to do so through Amazon Try Before You Buy, which is available for this product. It does run large. This is a simple, pretty, basic coat that I'm going to wear over half my clothes the next time we have an arctic freeze, and this will be my official dog-walking coat.
