Lightweight elastic waisted casual shorts

Since Covid, I’ve been working from home, so these casual shorts are nice and breathable with an elastic waist to endure hours at a desk with some semblance of “fun” with the pattern. That being said, personally these are WAY too short (for me) to be comfortable wearing out in public outside of the intent of the seller labeling these as a coverup to go over a swim suit. The fit, outside of the length, is true to size. For me, these will be perfect when lounging around the house and small tasks like getting the mail during the oppressive heat in Arizona during the summers. I just won’t be bending over in them if there would be any risk of running into my neighbors. ????

Cute comfy shorts, if a little pricey

Casual, comfortable shorts. The material is very soft and flows a little bit like modal (but not quite as heavy). The cut is generous and somewhat forgiving and the length is just right (short enough to be cool on hot days, but long enough to cover everything if you bend over). For reference, the model in the attached pictures is 5'3" and US size 8/10. I got the "in the tropics" print. It was not quite as bright as the pictures online suggested; my only complaint. On sale, I would say these are a definite buy for lounging at the pool or around the house. However, at full price, they are a hard pass.

Really nice style!

On its own, this Citrus Women's Standard Flounce Short Swimsuit Cover Up in a summery Pool//Head in the Clouds pattern is perfect to pull on over a swimsuit. The fabric is similar to a performance shirt and should dry quickly if it gets wet or damp. The sizing seems to be as indicated as well and they have a nice cut/style to them. I ordered this cover up to go with the matching Citrus Swimwear Women's Standard Over The Shoulder One Piece Swimsuit also in the Pool//Head in the Clouds color. The blue color of this cover up is noticeably different and I have taken one star off for that. This coverup is not reversible but will look good with the solid material side of the suit. Overall, a well made, nice coverup to have handy at a reasonable price. Would recommend.

Super cute shorts

These shorts are made from an ultra-soft rayon jersey that the tag claims is mostly from recycled fabrics. They're designed as a swim cover-up but they're so comfortable I find myself wearing them to lounge around the house too. They're even cute enough to wear out with casual outfits! The "clay" color is a lovely rust orange, a bit darker in person than it appears on my screen. The fit is true to size and the wide elastic waistband is so comfortable, it doesn't press on my skin at all and sits right at my waist for a flattering fit. The care instructions say hand wash cold and line dry only, so they aren't as easy to care for as other garments but I usually wash them with my swimwear and they've held up well so far.

Light, fun, colorful. Shorts have a high flare cut so need a body type.

I ordered this cover up to go with the matching bikini top. The bikini top (Citrus Standard Over the Shoulder Bralette Bikini Top - Multi / In the Tropics) is a perfect fit so I had my fingers crossed. Well, I’m back to 50/50 on swimsuit orders - Citrus Flounce Short Cover Up - Multi / In the Tropics - Medium. The light flouncy shorts are super fun, super comfortable, colorful, but they just don’t fit my body type. I’m 5’5”, 135 lbs. short-waisted with moderate hips. The size is right, but on me they need a longer torso or less hips, ymmv. They are very short and the silhouette flares out quickly, the material is thin. Totally summer-ready, but probably best for those who look good in high-waisted pants or pleats.

Order up a size if high waisted

These are darling, and I am super happy with them, with the exception of the waistband. I ordered a L. I am usually a medium in swim wear because I like to wear it tighter, but with these shorts I sized up. The legs fit great and are super cute, but the waist is full stretch because they have to sit further down on my hips so they don't crotch me. I still love them and will wear them, but they will probably drive me nuts if I try and do anything too athletic.
