Decent boots

Overall pretty good boots. Great for the price! I got them on sale. I've only had them for a few days. They run a little wide and I'd say the toe area has extra room. My only issue would probably be the height. I'm tall and the boot hits me at an awkward spot on my calves so I have to wear tall socks.

So far so good

The four out of five is only because I have JUST got them, and can only make a proper review in a couple of weeks. The fit is true to size - I am almost usually a 7, but in Timberlands / certain brands I am usually smaller, so I was nervous about these boots because they are rain boots and those usually run large - these ARE NOT. If you are a 7 - get a 7. If you are still unsure, go to the BOGS website and double check their size chart, as I did. These boots can a day later than expected but this is purely the fault of my bitter UPS man who likes to say he attempted delivery when in all reality he has not. Thanks, UPS man. I have larger than normal calves, and the boots were a bit tight. I have to tuck my pants in for my volunteer service, and despite the calf portion being pretty tight, I was able to get the pants in - so the top part does have some stretch to it. They are very comfortable, and not very heavy.

My go to boots for the garden, the farm and dog walking

Love these gum boots, have had 2 pairs. They are much warmer than regular gumboots but still not boots for really cold weather, I've had frostbite before and always have cold feet but these do quite well at keeping my feet warm. They are comfortable enough to wear all day working around the farm and don't cut into your shins like some boots do when you do a lot of walking especially on steep terrain. I wear mine daily to walk the dog round the block- that's several miles where I live... They are sometimes slippery and i have fallen a few times when there's been a heavy frost on the deck or mud on rocks but probably would have whatever shoes I had on. Ive tried them on some pretty rough terrain and they are great. If you want practical and comfortable boots to keep your feet dry in the garden etc these are the ones. I wear a 9.5 and the 9 fits great even with thick socks as they aren't meant to be a close fit,they are gumboots after all!

Wonderful boots!

I loved these boots from the moment I put them on. I've tried other styles of wellies, but the top always fit too tightly around my calf. (I'm not overweight nor do I perceive that my calves are "fat".) The neoprene upper on these is awesome! It has enough give/stretch for me to tuck my jeans in and I'm still very comfortable. I usually wear between a size 8 and 8.5. I tried the size 9's, but they were too big, so went down to 8 and it was a bit snug at first but after wearing them for a few hours, even with thick wool socks, they broke in beautifully. On my first outing with them I was creeking and tromping through muddy woods - stayed deliciously warm and dry. At first I was concerned about the neoprene upper getting wet, but absolutely no worries there. The water rolled right off. They might cost a bit extra, but they are definitely worth it. Color is true to what you see here (I got the green ones).

Heavy and bulky

I was excited about the waterproof and vegan materials in this boot. However when I wore the boot it felt so heavy walking around and my ankles felt like they were locked into an uncomfortable position. I could feel my feet sweating and then getting clammy within 10-15 minutes. Perhaps the shorter-mid-size boot would feel better in the ankle. I ended up going with the Columbia Mid-minx boot for it's waterproof, vegan and comfortableness. The sole of this boot doesn't allow you to make too much contact with the ground for the barefoot feel (which I ended up deciding on eventually). Instead this boot felt clunky and heavy, although I bet it would be tough and last a long time. If it felt more comfortable, especially in the heel, I may have kept it.

I usually get at least three winters out of Bogs boots. I bought these in September 2020 and they have already cracked over the instep.

Best Boots ever.............

I love the boots (size 9) for the soft cushy interior since each of my foot is a little different. I got them to walk the dogs in the rain and in the tall grass since I always pick up several ticks if I walk through the grass in my sneakers. I also have a winter pair of bogs that I got on sale at a size 10 and that fit perfect too since I wear thicker socks in the winter. They are comfortable to walk in for longer distances but may get a little warm in the summer due to the padding.

run a touch small

Great boots. Will see how they hold up with frequent wear. I wear a 10 and they are a bit snug so probably can't wear heavy socks with them. With no half sizes an 11 will be too big.

These boots are fabulous in all respects, but are a snug fit i.e. you would only want an ordinary sock in them nothing thick. I knew this because I had already tried a pair on. In an ordinary shoe or boot I may take 36 or 36.5. I have to try on a 37 as often too big. In this boot a 37 with a standard sock is just right. Also they are a snug fit on the calf - I have slim to average calfs so if you are on the chunky side it is something to think about.

Quite heavy to wear and look rather big but I think they will be perfect for the winter. Very cosy and the handles are great for pulling them on.

Fantastic

I normally purchase muck boots as spend a lot of time on my feet working at a boarding kennels. These boots fit just as well, if not better - the grip is better and a much better price = really would recommend = will not be buying Mucks again

Disappointing

One boot had a snag in the neoprene. It looks like the boots had been returned by a previous customer, as their note detailing the snag was still in the box. Glue marks along one seam.
