RUNS SMALL

Seems like all water gear is skimping on material. And that's the cheapest part of the garment. Really, how much is another 1 or 2" going to add to price? But following food products, manufacturers are CARVING OFF SMALL AMOUNTS TO ADD TO THEIR BOTTOM LINE. Remember when a pint of ice cream was 16 oz? Or a pound of hot dogs was a pound? Problem is their garments don't align to the manufacturer's size/measurement charts.

Nice but wish it was longer

I was looking for something to wear snorkeling in the tropics as in the winter the water can be a bit cool. This was very well made with a nice strong zipper. I sent it back and got a vest made by Henderson because it was too short waisted and the Henderson was an inch or two longer. I'm 5'10", 135 lb. I tried a size 8 and 6. The 6 was way too small for me, whereas even the 8 was tight (as I'm told it should be). I even tried the men's version and they were a tiny bit longer but had more gapping at the shoulder. I didn't get to try either vest on in the water yet but it looks like they both gap a little at the upper armpit area. It would be cool if they would make them short sleeved (would keep water out of the arm hole), and if they made some attachment that would go from the back bottom hem under the crotch and onto the front hem to keep it from riding up.

This vest was perfect for snorkeling in the Caribbean during the month of April!!! I bought the bottoms to wear with this vest but found that the vest gave me enough warmth that I did not need the bottoms. I will take my vest with me again next year when we go back to the Caribbean to swim and snorkel. The vest fits a bit tight, runs a bit small so if in between sizes order up a size. I swam and snorkeled in the vest five days straight and did not get any rash burns, rub marks or sores. I wore an Aqua Design rash guard shirt under this vest (and a one piece bathing suit too) which worked beautifully. The rash guard did not ride up on me, it stayed in place every day even with jumping from the boat into the water. It dried off quickly so I could repack it for the next days swim. It aided me in floating so that I did not have to wear the float vest that may excursion company's recommend you wear when you snorkel in their group. I highly recommend this vest!

Easy to pack and takes the chill off

I've had this wetsuit vest for four years and it is still my favorite. It is easy to pack, fits snug and really takes the chill off my belly for water sports. I really don't like cold water so pack it on all my trips. It's held up well and is one of my favorite purchases I have ever made on Amazon.

Okay product, but overpriced

I teach swimming lessons in a pool that is about 84 degrees, which might seem warm, but when you are standing around in the water or several hours, 84 is actually quite cold. I bought this vest to try to stay warm while teaching, and it has helped. I know it is not recommended for use in a chlorinated pool, but I am hoping it lasts for a while. The light blue color faded immediately. I should have bought a smaller size, as it stretches out a lot when wet. I do not love the cut of the bust area of the vest...too high for an older heavier woman, and I wish the vest was longer. It was pricey, so I will be looking for a less expensive vest in the future.

Not too warm for warm water excercise

I ordered size 8 that fit my bust-waist-hip measurements perfectly but that size gapped at the shoulder openings. I took a chance and ordered a 6. It fits right at the shoulder and neck openings so water doesn't exchange. The vest uses its stretch to cover the bust and tummy over my bathing suit. Just what I was looking for as I am very thin and get cold in the "Arthritis Exercise" Class in our 89F pool. Big zipper makes it easy to get on and off, good for my handicap. Twice a week use for 1.5 hour sessions in the 4 months since Christmas has not shown any degradation. I rinse the vest in fresh water after the chlorinated pool, in the shower, and hang it on a thick plastic hanger over the shower rod as soon as I get home. Dries quickly. Just what I was looking for. After 4 months it is still soft and stretchy like new!

This is a size 12 which I think is large it's not real tight water came in when I used it but not a whole lot

Runs small.

I play water volleyball and get chilly after being in the pool for an hour - vest keeps me warm. Had to get a larger size. Although it should be tight - gotta breathe too!

SO FAR SO GOOD

I'm writing this review because I thought it would help viewers as I really needed one pre purchase!! I'm 5"5 & weigh roughly 125. I have 32DD boobs. I purchased a size 6 and it fits perfectly. Other viewers are correct about the arm holes. I probably could have worn a size 4 but the arm holes would have been way too tiny!! The arm holes still feel a little snug but it's not uncomfortable however, had I gone to size 4 Id probably have to return it. Id suggest to everyone to google NEO SPORT women's wetsuit size chart. You can find what size fits your height & weight as opposed to using the measurements provided !
