The belt I ended up with is great.
I ordered a belt and got it in. I promptly put it on and went straight to cutting my lawn. I cut about five feet when it broke. I was upset that it broke but I had noticed that it felt soft and that one portion of the belt looked deformed but thought I would give it a try anyway. As it turns out, my assumption was obviously correct. I turned it into Amazon for a exchange and I got it about 2-3 days later, then one of my pulleys broke just after I installed the 2nd and finished the front yard, which is a totally different review for another product on Amazon. As for what happened to the 2nd belt, when the pulley broke that belt slid, created a smokey fog, that forced my eyes shut once I stopped and turned the motor off, and turned toasty black on the back side but it never broke. I wasn't certain if it would survive even if I replaced the pulley but I decided to bet on it, after all I couldn't exchange it for another because it wasn't defective, it wasn't broken due to quality issues and its cause was mechanical failure that was not due to this seller. I ordered the pulleys (replaced both deck bearing pulleys to exercise caution) and installed them and this 2nd belt, which is more dense and is much tougher than even I expected, compared to the first. I just mowed the entire property without any issues. It's a shame that it doesn't have that wonderful new pulley color and look but as long as it works, I can live with that and i will come back to this seller again as long as the quality is as good as the 2nd pulley currently seems.

Had to replace the original belt
When I replace v-belts I like to use Kevlar v-belts as they seem to be more durable and last longer. The deck belt is a little harder to replace than the mower deck drive belt or the tractor dive belt but it isn't to tough to replace. I have had this Craftsman 46 inch mower since new for 23 years and still runs good and works good so I don't mind buying the best replacement parts for it as I always have. 2nd time replacing the mower deck belt on this mower and the price for this Kevlar v-belt is hard to beat and it seems to be of good quality and well made.

Had another brand with the same part number but it was a 5L size, 5/8 inch wide. Mower blades would not stop spinning, making it hard to start and a safety issue

Not right fit
Belt size wrong should be 95.5 I ended up breaking the ingage cable now I have to buy new ingage cable and return belt and buy new belt not to mention the return of old belt and install 2 times plus install new ingage cable this is not what I bought first time cost me another 20 dollars in addition to all the work involved I charge 35 per hour to work on any thing not worth my time get it right China junk!

These are very good belts that I’ve purchased before. I bought 2 to have spares on handle. I have not installed these yet.

Great Price and Perfect Fit
My lawn tractor is at least 10 years old and parts are becoming more difficult to find. After walking through or calling most of the big box stores and some of the repair shops which sell parts, I found this belt by searching the original part number and Amazon was first on the list for availability. The true belt size for my deck made all the difference. Every one I had tried was either an inch or two short and not usable at all. Or they were an inch to one and half inches too long, would work but not without cause a lot of vibration or belt slippage in tall weedy areas. The price for this belt with second day shipping charges was less than the last belt I purchased at a big box store. Very happy with it.

Definite recommend.
So I received this item today. Lightning fast delivery I must add. Installed it on my old craftsman dyt4000. Fits like a glove. I thought I needed a new spring tensioner also. But it turns out that the old belt was too long. Perfect fit. Perfect tension. Definite recommend.
