These work suspenders are not my favorite.
I had hoped for something a bit more useful in purchasing the "work" version of these suspenders. Something that would work without a belt for holding up pants. The clips on these, however, don't clamp closed sufficiently to grab the edge of my jeans unless at the belt loop locations, which makes them set to far apart at the back of my jeans. Additionally, though they are long enough to work for my 6ft 5in frame, the cross point in the back is fixed too low down, so that it does nothing to help keep the suspenders on my shoulders since these suspenders are a non-stretch nylon type of material. This results in me having to repeatedly "fix" the suspenders after they fall off one or the other shoulder as I move while getting work done. I would not buy these again. I'll probably still try to use them; not worth the effort to return, but I can't recommend anyone else follow suit. Given that the "work suspenders" variation seems to have disappeared from Amazon altogether, this review is probably useless in providing warning to other potential buyers regardless.

IF YOU SWEAT A LOT USING THESE SUSPENDERS, RINSE THE CLIPS AFTER EACH USE TO PREVENT CORROSION.
These suspenders work well keeping my pants up when I am working. I have noticed on one pair that the clips started to rust. Since I use these suspenders outside working in the warm Georgia humidity, I sweat a lot and I think that the salt from my sweat was a major factor in the rust. So, given that, I rinse the clips with my house tap water after each use.

Just received it and am very impressed. Will update after a week of testing at work. I didn't want super heavy duty, I use medium sized to small bags but the weight of the tools tweak my back. UPDATE. these are good quality well made and very durable. Very satisfied, i will add a cross strap front or back to keep them from slipping off my shoulders mainly when in tight spaces or squatting, as my hammer or cats paw tend to push up and straps slide off shoulders. im 5'11 with wide shoulders, the straps had to be almost fully extended to accomidate me, any shorter id had to return them.

Just what my dad wanted!
Purchased these as a gift for my dad who works on a lumber yard. He loves the look & quality, & so have some of his coworkers who have also made the purchase. They arrived quickly, but the packaging could have been better since it arrived damaged. He's happy, so four-stars.

hard to find
I already owned one of these, so i ordered it by number. I like the fact that these do not stretch at all is the feature that i desired. The one problem with these is that the portion of the clips that the strap goes through tends to fail. I used tie wire to replace it for a while, but with time it tends to cut through the strap.

Solid product
These webbed suspenders are solid support for heavy tool belts and have comfortably padded straps!! The grippers are strong and quality construction will ensure long use. No bouncy elastic (thank goodness! That's all I could find locally.)

Holds my pants up
A nice heavy duty suspender that suffers slightly from having weak clips. When stressed they tend to let pants slide out. Teeth are not particularly strong and I expected a nylon or other material stay to help hold pants in place. But all in all adequate for us fat urban farmers.

Excellent for tool belts and pouches
I spent a while looking around at tool belt suspenders before I decided to try these. I instantly tried them with my thick Occidental Leather tool belt. The clasps were able to open up and grab the belt with a nice positive click. They have not let go yet. Clamps are nice quality steel. Adjustability is good for me (5'10 175lbs). The pads are sewn into the webbing and are really quite comfy. I don't feel the weight after a 9+hr day. These suspenders are not elastic and, once properly adjusted, don't slide around or dig into your neck. The suspenders are also VERY lightweight but made to last. Overall I'm really happy with these and I'd recommend them to other trades people looking for better weight distribution and comfort for their tool belts.

Love 'em!
Good quality sturdy suspenders. The clips haven't come loose a single time and believe me, being a heavy equipment mechanic, i have to crawl, bent, twist and otherwise assume a lot of crazy positions to do my work. I use to pull my pants up dozens of times a day. These suspenders haven't let me down yet!
