Fits a Warn Evo 10 and is solid!

I installed a Curt front mount receiver hitch on my 2016 Tacoma and bought this mount to hold a Warn Evo 10 winch. It works perfectly. This mount is solid with strong welds and a type of skid plate under the mount that not only adds strength but could protect it if you decide to drive with it in place, not that I feel I will ever have a need for that. This is not the type of setup you would get to drive around town with the winch installed on the front receiver. It is best to install it when you need it. Quality is top notch. I keep the winch in the bed of the truck until needed and then slide it in place either into the front or rear receiver hitch. There is a very small amount of play between the square tube and the receiver so the winch wiggles a little, but if it was any tighter it would be hard to slide in and out and if dirt was present it may not go in at all. On my Tacoma, the tongue is long enough to slide deep into the receiver and still clear the front bumper.

Simple and rugged. Just like me.

I’ve had this for a few years now, and I can honestly say it has withstood more abuse than most people could ever throw at a winch mount. It has had numerous winches mounted, the latest is 13.5k WITH multiple snatch blocks. I have it on my 94 F350 crew cab, so this mount has withstood tens of thousands of pounds and never bent, cracked or failed. Definitely worth the money if you want a winch mount that you can move to a rear mount, or another truck pretty easily. ????

Does not fit Champion 14560 winch

A very solid and heavy duty item made of thick metal. The hole pattern is made for big winches and does not fit the Champion Power Equipment 14560 which has a standard "ATV" style winch bolt pattern. I liked the heavy duty construction of the Curt and was tempted to keep it and drill matching atv-pattern holes into the plate. Would be nice if the Curt included universal bolt hole patterns. But in the end I opted to buy the KFI 100620 which already includes both a matching atv hole pattern and larger pattern. The KFI is not as thick a steel plate or heavy a weight as the Curt. Would buy the Curt if I had plans for a big winch and heavy pulling.

great welding and powder coated for durability

Well designed, made for strength, heavy duty, great welding and powder coated for durability. A good price compared to so many other cheaply made mount plates. I'm using the Curt mount plate to remove my Engo 12,000 lbs. winch when I'm in town, and the unit is not needed. The plate and winch slide out of my front mount receiver as a unit, for non-use storage. I added homemade low profile handles on each end of the plate for ease to grip onto. It is easy to slide back in, install a good grade lockable receiver cross pin, connect the 12 volt plastic connectors, (added) and it's fully functional again. Good luck with your unit, Digger Dale.

Likely the best built mount available

Solidly welded heavy steel. Likely the best built mount available. The tube length is just long enough to engage the first hole when installed in my front receiver mount without the need for an extender. Other mounts I tried came up short. The reason I gave it only four stars is that the left upright where the fair-lead mounts to was bent as if it had been dropped on that edge. I was able to straighten it enough to work, but it will never be perfect. In spite of the damage I love it.

Tough but sloppy fit in receiver.

I've ordered two of these over the past 5 years, I figured they would have solved the sloppy fit issue by now but they haven't. The square tubing that fits into the hitch receiver is slightly undersized which causes the winch to bounce/roll around somewhat while driving. I'd still recommend it but know that it isn't a tight fit.

Heavy, well built but for a Superwinch 9,500 Tiger Shark I had to mount in the outer holes which if I am not mistaken are intended for handle option. Not an issue for me as I didn't plan on installing handle. Prefer a simple, cleaner / sleeker look. Actually have winch mounted on this mount and attached to rear reciever on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi for now. It looks bada$$. Recieved Curt front receiver hitch. Have some photos to share if the link would present itself in the form of an opportunity button please.

Sticks out too far but good quality product - returned

i was originally excited to get this mount since i made the mistake of accidentally buying an ATV winch mount (too small). i have a ranchhand brushguard on my 2000 f250 superduty with a 2" receiver on the front. even on the 3rd hole on the winch mount, it stuck out way too far and the weight of my badlands 12000lb winch made the actually bend down a little bit. i don't think that is correct or even safe so i did not install it. i bought one that has the portable handles on the side and it only has 1 hitch pin hole and it is shorter.

Priced right and we’ll built

Used this plate for my warm 12,000 pound winch. It fit perfectly with no modifications, and it’s very well built welds are clean and strong. Curt makes a great product! Would buy from them again.

Holes are over sized!

It arrived on time and in good condition. Welds and finish are very good, my only complaint is the mounting holes for the winch are drilled over sized. I had to purchase hardened washers to make it work with my winch!

Good product, fairly reasonable price

The product came very quickly and is good thick steel. I have no doubt this will hold my heavy winch without problem. It seems obvious but just know that this product does not come with the hardware to mount your winch on, that should come with your winch.
