Not as depicted
The product does work but it does not work as the 5008 shown in the picture worked. I know this because I have one exactly like the picture and the one shipped to me does not even look like it, let alone function like it. Just look at the blue trimmed timer they sent me compared to the 5008 in gray next to it which is taken directly from this listing 3/25/2021. The 5008 I know has three independent count-up timer channels for timing separate jobs, chess games, cooking times, etc. The wrong one they have shipped to me will only count DOWN on the three channels from a number you must first manually enter. The one count up feature it does have is part of the clock mode function and only has one channel. This new, unannounced substitution is useless to me and I am sending it back.

Ok, but not great
Works, but cheap quality. Batteries fall out of the back if I don't tape it shut. Also the alarm is extremely loud and annoying and there's no way to make it quieter.

Timer shipped is NOT what is described/pictured and lacks the timer count-up function
The media could not be loaded. The gray-faced timer pictured in the product description is a fantastic timer, but it's replacement (with the blue face) lacks the ability to count up in each of the three timer channels. The new version does have a stopwatch feature as part of the clock function, but for those who need the ability to count up or down in three channels (like me!), this timer will NOT work. Also, the blue face is rubbery instead of hard plastic, so it is easily scuffed - not sure how well this version would hold up in a busy lab.

Works great in a NIST environment
I use this in a laboratory setting where we need NIST traceability. Works great.
