Excellent

I needed a longer cord so i wouldn't have to move my generator. Works perfectly and being extra heavy duty it doesn't seem to lose anything due to distance.

Serious cord

This is a seriously heavy duty cord, and at 50 feet long it should meet all of my backup generator power needs. My only complaint is that on the packaging it states that the product contains lead, and that one needs to wash their hands after handling the product. I wish that was written in the product description, as it would have probably changed my mind about purchasing this product - I have little kids. However, it might be the case that all of these heavy duty generator cords contain lead to meet the durability and flexibility needs of the product, I just don't know though so I'm keeping this cord and will use caution when handling the product.

Great standby generator cord

This cord was used for my backup generator following loss of power during a recent hurricane. The cord was perfect for running from my outside generator to my house power panel interlocking receptical.

NOT flexible!

Three stars because it is just "OK." The cord is electrically fine and will do the job, but is not what I would consider flexible. The product description says, "stays flexible in cold weather." Apparently, "flexible" is another one of those funny, misleading words manufacturers use to mess with their customer's trust in them!! This is a 30 amp cable with 10 gauge wire and I am comparing it against a heavier 8 gauge 50 amp extension cord I use with my welder. On the coldest New England winter day, this welder cord still coils like limp pasta.

Great extension cord

Great extension. Hooked it up to my Honda EU7000IS and then to the male plug in the house and worked perfectly, no volts issues at all. Cord never got hot and enables me move the generator to keep it away from doors/windows!!!

It works great, I have kept this outside for two summers now and it has not become brittle as other cheaper brands can.

10 gage is the only gage you should use!

This is a 10 gage, 220 volt cord. At this price, your only going to find lesser gage cords. If you're looking for a cord to transfer power from a generator to your home, you shouldn't use anything less than a 10 gage. This one is of great quality.

Quality product does the job. I bought this to get my generator plenty far from the house. Exhaust can get into your house vents, doors, windows, garages even if there closed. I met a women who's husband died in the garage from carbon monoxide poisoning. The generator was just outside the side door. The fire department recommends 100 feet away from the house. I need another 50 feet.

Second one I have purchased. Both great.

I bought the 25' cord for myself and the generator to the house hookup is great. The second cord, this one I bought for my brother in law who wanted it further from his house. Used and works fine. They do not over heat and the welded ends are nicely finished to keep waterproof. We both have 10,000 watt surge 8,000 watt generators and have not come close to max on the generator or the cords. Great product. Thank you

Connects Generator to Cottage in One Easy Step

This generator cord is perfect for connecting my 5000W portable generator to the input box on the outside of my cottage. It is rated for 30 A which is what my generator produces and, in connection with a 6-circuit generator transfer switch, enables me to energize all of the critical circuits in my cottage during a power outage Although it hasn't been cold yet, it is quite flexible and easy to uncoil for use. The twist lock connectors at both ends ensure a tight connection with little effort. A good purchase well worth the cost?
