Nice Shoes with an annoying drawback

As a traveling business consultant, I have worn these shoes for the last two years, and they are very comfortable. They have been through many airports, and on many planes. They are a good solid business shoe. I am a bigger guy with wider feet, and it's harder to find decent 3E slip-on dress shoes, which is why I ended up buying these. I like the look of these, a very classic slip-on. They do run slightly large. I normally wear an 11, but I bought these in a 10.5 and they fit exactly like I would expect an 11 to fit. The 3E version of these shoes have a ton of space inside the shoe. To me, that's a good thing, because I really like to use SOF SOLE inserts, but they are pretty thick. With these shoes, the inserts fit fine. However, there is one thing that I really hated about these shoes for a long time. It may be related to the fact that I am heavier, but on certain floors, the little plastic circle on the bottom with "Un" on it would make a very annoying sound. After a long time, I just ripped those off, and the problem was solved. As far as longevity, I generally get about 1 year out of shoes before the heel wears, and I scuff them up too bad to wear. These have held up much longer than that for me. They scuff significantly less than the last couple of pair of Eccos that I have bought (which are more expensive). $120 for two+ years out of a pair of daily shoes (travel shoes at that) is a pretty good cost to use ratio. I am trying out a different pair of slip-ons, but if they don't work out, I am going to order these again (and immediately remove that stupid plastic disk).

Excellent Brand and Product

In my biased opinion, what more do i have to say other than "CLARK'S". They make and great quality product. About me. I am a heavy person with flat, very wide feet. I cannot purchase regular shoes or sneakers from let’s say foot locker or similar stores because of this those shoes cause havoc on my feet. And, that is if i can even fit their shoes on due to how wide my feet are. I usually have to order online or drive out to NJ to a high end shoe store for quality shoes. I usually buy Clark’s for $200-$250 a pair in the store. It’s nice to find them on amazon for cheaper. The Clark’s brand is for those with jacked up feet like me. They are true to size and provide superior comfort comparable to other brands. They are the mercedies benz of shoes with regards to quality. I highly recommend. i am more of an oxford shoelace style shoe person but, i wanted to try a slip on. Wow. they are perfect. And the leather is very good quality. i am buying this same shoe in brown as well.

Not as good as the Clarks Waves

I have always had problems picking out good shoes. When I tried on Clarks Wave for the first time, the angels had sung. They fit perfectly, I had no blisters, great for walking, and the break in time was minimal. It was just a wonderful shoe. I bought two pairs of the Waves, their Path, and a dressier black version which I eventually wore out over a two year period. I was looking to replace the dress version of the Wave, but Clarks no longer make it. So I first tried Ecco's on a friends recommendations. These did not fit and went back to Clark for the unstructured. While these fit well, they are not as comfortable as the Waves. They required substantially more time to break, are not as comfortable for walking, and I did get blisters with these. Pros: Nice Looking. Comfortable Compared to other dress shoes I have had. Seem high quality Cons: Not as good as the Clarks Wave Shoes. Somewhat pricey.

The width felt good. I've returned and reordered size 10

Shoe felt promising as expected for a second shoe from the Unstructured collection. I'm typically between 10.5 & 11 and usually order size 11. I ordered 10.5 in this shoe but it was clearly too long. The width felt good. I've returned and reordered size 10. I'm flat-footed and a bit wide but not enough to normally order wide sizes. My only concern is that the width will get tight in the smaller size. We'll see . . . Update: The size 10 seems to fit okay but is indeed slightly snug in the width. I'm 51% sure I will keep these and hope they relax just a bit in the width, as I'm afraid a wide version will be too wide in the back half of the shoe.

Way too big & wrong width in shoe box! THEY WERE GREAT ABOUT THE RETURN SO I UPED TO 3 STARS FOR EXCELLENT SERVICE!

So disappointed bc the shoe did not fit true to size. My husband would hv given it 5stars IF the shoe fit AND the shoe size sold was what was in the box. The box was 11.5 M, the shoe was w WIDE! Someone switched it, accident, I'm sure but perhaps that's why it swallowed his foot. He did say standing on it, the shoe felt like a dream, but of course he couldn't give a completely honest evaluation as they didn't fit. IF we can get the shoe returned and a smaller one WITH the proper width, we will update this review and give it more stars if applicable. I hope the company will read this and reach out to us. 5/8/17 The company was wonderful about the return. My husband was a little overzealous opening the bag and paper work was lost, so I had to pay $6 for shipping, but there was No Problem Returning! Our Thank You to the company! My husband did find some at Belks that he could try on(not same exact shoe, but a nice alternative.) He would really like to get these, but we just can't figure out what size to get him.

Most comfortable dress shoe ever

These shoes are amazing. They have great cushion and it feels like you are walking on air. I have to dress business casual or suit everyday for work, and these fit the bill for either occasion. They are so comfortable, they look great, and they are easy to get on and off for security when traveling. I am 6'5", 300lbs, and I have flat feet and a high instep. Most dress shoes either feel like I'm walking on concrete, aren't wide enough, or dig in on the top of my foot and at the rear of the heel. These do none of that. I usually wear a 13 4E in new balance, so I took a chance and ordered the same size even though other people were saying they run big. These fit perfect, even better than my new balance shoes. I would order another pair in black, but they are out of my size.
