Best Pads on the Market

As a professional detailer, i go through a lot of pads. These have been my favorites for years because they last, they perform, and they are priced right. This deal came with a bottle of the pad cleaner, which is fine, but make sure you get a bottle of the pad conditioner. It really improves performance and extends the life of your pad.

Best pads on the market!

I got turned on to these chemical Guys Hex pads when I was doing a side gig with a cousin of mine detailing boats. We did house boats all the way down to bass boats. With all kinds of oxidation and polishing types you sometimes get pretty creative, especially if it's in the wet sand/chalky stage. These hex pads hold up even when you're going on them a little too long. Other pads will separate the glue and just fall off, but these guys just keep going. I'm not sure Chemical Guys has the lineup of boat stuff anymore but I now use these on all my vehicles, since they compete or outperform most of the other guys. 10/10

Orange pad not gritty enough for compounding

These pads are well made but the orange pad is disappointing and doesn't take out anything but ultra light swirls. it isn't tough enough to be a first level compounding pad.

Great starting kit

This is a great starting kit for the home diy retailer. My first kit Lasted a long time (over a year) and the cleaner that comes with the pads is the best. Beware the cleaner is very potent though!

Professional grade

Great product! Trusted in automotive detail shops across the US, so for the average do it at home person, you can't go wrong with Chemical guys products. Shipping was fast too!

good pads and did the job.

I cant speak to other pads but these were pretty easy to use. I did have to wash them and let them dry and they came out pretty good. I maybe could get a couple cars out of each of them.

Cleaner alone worth the money

The pads seem fine, but I cannot stress enough, how amazing this cleaner is. I've tried numerous cleaners, soaps, detergents etc. Nothing comes close to this stuff. I had all but given up on cleaning my various polishing pads, and was just wrapping them in plastic bags to stay moist. Not a good idea. Then I got this stuff. It cleaned the Chemical Guys pads that I had just used, effortlessly. No sticky residue on my hands or sink. I figured it must be the pads so I grabbed my "almost ready for the dung heap" coarse pad, and in minutes, with very little effort, it was pristine. I'm sold.

Great product but missing pad cleaner

I’ve used these pad for years and know their reliability. I bought it expecting the pad cleaner which helps a lot in the longevity of the pad. Not a big deal but it was included in my package. It’s still a great product.

The pads are Hex-Logic which is the same that the Chemical Guys used to stamp there name on the back. The pad cleaner does work perfectly to clean the pad back to the original condition. Pads are black do to buffing the large black plastic moldings on the CX-5 with CG V38.

Highly recommended polishing pads!

I bought these pads to try out because I could not find any size 6.5" 3M pads (that I have used in the past) and the Meguiars and Griots pads are expensive to buy in Canada. I was very impressed by the performance of the pads ... both during use as well as how easily they cleaned up after use. I used them on my Griots 6" polisher using 3M Perfect-It compound and polish. Pros: I found them to be great value for the money. They performed very well and held securely on the machine's backing plate. I have had some other products peel off during use. And, as mentioned previously, they cleaned up very easily after use. Cons: None to date. They appear to be a well built and durable product. I had not bought any Chemical Guys products previously. But, have now ordered a Cannon car wash foam gun unit based on my positive experience with these pads.
