Some minor issues, but by far my favorite sweatshirts

I purchased these after having bought a Champion x Todd Snyder collab sweatshirt ($100 for one) that i promptly ruined with a splash of bleach. For that price I got three of these and don’t worry so much about stains or splashes. These are actually a bit lighter, but also softer and warmer than the more expensive one and it has the stitched neck V that i like. The only issue i have with them is the inconsistency in some of the details. I ordered both large and extra large to see what fit me best. I’m 6’ tall and 190lbs, slim athletic build. The XL seemed a bit large, and I don’t like baggy sweatshirts, but the L fit a bit snug and was tight across the chest. Previous reviews state these don’t shrink, but i figured they’d tighten up a little after washing - I wasn’t wrong. The Large became unwearable, and the XL is just right. I was amazed by the difference in size between the two though, see pics. It seems like a difference of two sizes instead of one. Anyway, they don’t really “shrink” but the fibers do tighten up after the first wash cycle, so just be aware of that. My biggest gripe is with the labels. The listing shows a label on the bottom front of the garment. These were present on the Large size, but all of the XL’s didn’t have it. Also the ones with the label had a greyed out Champion “C” on the sleeve, but the XL’s had the typical colored version. See pics. I was really hoping for the label, as i like that detail, but be aware you might not receive that. Also - these will leave heavy lint on your t shirts worn underneath until you’ve washed them a few times. It’s not an issue now, but was quite alarming when trying them on. Despite these minor things, they are really comfortable and warm shirts that look good. Definitely not rag-tag gym sweats.

fits well even after washing

I like the fit when I order extra large I expect just that. Champion comes through as true Champions of clothing by taking into account that fabric shrinks when you wash it. especially cotton based. It is necessary to make the fit a little larger than the stated garment size to allow for shrinkage when washed. Many other manufacturers don't care and you have to keep sending the item back then buy the next larger size before you can get a satisfactory fit

Great go-to sweatshirt

Wasn’t expecting such great quality for the price. Perfect weight. Can be dressed up or down. Runs slightly large and does not shrink, so keep that in mind, but very comfortable fit

Wearing it now

A classic old school Champion sweatshirt. Warm, comfy, inexpensive, easy to wash, pop it on or off as needed. Went up a size for length but it's not overly baggy. It's been seeing a lot of use since it arrived and seems to be holding up well. These really are super comfortable. I picked up a second one and was wearing one or the other 3/4 days since it arrived. They've also got enough length that going up a size actually works as a substitute for a tall.

You may want to consider a different brand

The inside of the sweatshirt pills all over what you wear underneath it. If you wear a dark colored t shirt underneath and decide to take the sweatshirt off you’ll look like a fool with white pilling all over your T.

Good product

I liked quality of the sweatshirt, very soft and looks stylish too! It is good purchase in decent price. I bought it for the person who generally wear M size, so I bought M size but it was large for him, but may be after some wash it will be good fit for him.

Great quality, and comfortable.

Bit on the baggy side, but super comfy. If you like things slightly more fitted maybe consider a size down.

Favourite Sweater right now

I absolutely love this sweater! It’s so soft and comfortable and fits so well. I’m a big man (6’3” 260lbs) and I’m never sure what is going to fit well as some clothes I need a 2XL to comfortably fit my chest (I don’t like the sprayed on look). I initially bought the 2XL thinking that would be the best fit although it was a bit big I exchanged it for the XL which was perfect!

Excellent weight, design & soft texture from US Champion, an old favourite, not owned for 30 years. Bought when price dropped after watching for a while. 3XL for loose fit.

Very nice quality!

I was happy to find a sweatshirt without a hood attached. They are hard to find, and my husband doesn't like hoodies. This shirt is a very good quality for the price. Nice colour, and very soft. It washes well. It fits a bit larger than I expected. I ordered a bit big to allow for shrinking, but it shrunk very minimally after drying in the dryer. I would recommend this shirt, and I may order another one in a different color.
